The Position

Job Description

The Investment Operations Analyst will play an integral part in leading and supporting new M&A activities as well as managing post-acquisition transitions across the new portfolio. This role involves extensive collaboration with various teams throughout the organization including Development/Construction, Project Finance, Asset Management, Tax, and Accounting. A good understanding of project development, M&A diligence and transaction process is required to successfully perform the job.

This person is an integral part of the M&A process, coordinating internal diligence with subject matter experts, presenting diligence findings, and supporting internal approvals. Post acquisition, this person will support the transition of acquired asset(s) from external developers to internal Arevon development / construction teams.

The Investment Operations Analyst will work out of our New York office, alongside the Investment and Project Finance teams.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  • Support M&A activities, including asset/portfolio acquisitions, divestitures and portfolio sell-downs
  • Manage and continue to improve the M&A inbound screening process, update opportunity dashboards and planner cards, coordinate due diligence across subject matter experts
  • Lead weekly M&A priority calls across development, engineering, construction, interconnection, and commercial teams to initiate and manage project diligence and valuation processes; obtain accurate and timely inputs for project financial models
  • Collaborate with the F&I team on building robust, flexible financial models to support project underwriting and deal structuring efforts
  • Support drafting of non-binding bids, term sheets and investment memorandums to facilitate project acquisition
  • Provide hands-on support for development / construction stage projects following acquisitions until the handoffs are fully completed to Arevon Project Managers
  • Help maintain relationships with developers and advisors during deal screening, diligence and negotiations
  • Update project databases, provide insights across deals reviewed, and present M&A market intel through quantitative analyses and case studies

Experience Requirements

  • 1-2 Years’ Experience in Consulting, Corporate/Investment Banking and/or Renewable Energy Development/Finance
  • Proven track record of working well within a team environment, taking ownership of processes and procedures
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, highly motivated and results oriented, process oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and the ability to set and meet realistic deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Discretion in handling confidential information and in communicating with third parties
  • Understanding of renewable energy development and/or project finance is a plus
  • Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.

Education Requirements

  • At a minimum, Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, or Engineering
