​Your New Role

The Production Leader guides rotating day and night shifts, overseeing 24–30 manufacturing associates (operators) and ensuring seamless production operations. This role calls for a proactive, adaptable leader who drives impact and fosters a collaborative, high-performance culture.

You will model exemplary behavior: building teamwork and mutual support, rigorously following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and safety, sustaining productivity across all shifts, maintaining efficient, focused workflows, and demonstrating professionalism through respect, integrity, and accountability. Key Responsibilities

24/7 Production:

• ·Lead and manage a team of manufacturing associates (MAs) across day and night shifts in upstream drug substance manufacturing.
• Work within the color-shift rotation: even weeks (Mon–Tue, Fri–Sun); odd weeks (Wed–Thu)
• Coordinate with shift teams to keep operations running smoothly and resolve issues quickly
• Implement systems and processes to manage emergencies effectively and minimize downtime
• Own timely deviation processing within the value stream, ensuring robust containment and effective countermeasures

Leadership and Team Management:

• Lead and develop a team of manufacturing associates
• Foster a strong safety culture—both physical and psychological—with clear purpose and commitment
• Maintain high engagement across both shifts
• Recruit talent to meet production needs
• Prioritize growth through training, development, and regular 1:1s
• Drive collaboration and build a high-performing team
• Practice visible, hands-on leadership on the shop floor
• Structure your work hours to ensure consistent presence for all manufacturing associates

Cross-Functional Integration:

• Strengthen collaboration between Manufacturing and Operations Support
• Partner closely with Engineering, Automation, Quality, Process Science, and Program Management
• Act as the escalation and decision point for complex issues, ensuring cross-functional alignment

Your Skills & Talent

• 5+ years of leadership experience, ideally in the pharmaceutical industry
• Proven manufacturing leadership with strategic thinking and data-driven problem solving
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while executing against strategic plans
• Deep technical knowledge of processes and equipment
• Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and GMP

Your New Team & Department

Join an ambitious Drug Substance Manufacturing organization with three value streams (DSM 1, 2, and 3) operating 24/7. You will lead one production team of 24–30 manufacturing associates split across day and night shifts. You will report to a Value Stream Director and work closely with Production Leaders in other value streams, key stakeholders, and the Value Stream 1 leadership team.
