Team / Role Overview

ILOC Operations is a team providing support to Citigroup’s Insurance Client base.  The team is responsible for operational oversight, adherence to policies and facilitating the delivery of best in class customer experience. Quality is key and organizational skills are critical. There are approximately 400 clients using the ILOC offering and Citigroup is the leader in the market.  The product is very cyclical in nature, the upward trend begins in October and the downward trend ends in March.

Responsibilities

The Cash & Collateral Management Supervisor provides leadership and supervisory responsibility for medium-sized operational/administrative team(s) of clerical/support employees. The role provides support to ILOC Operations & implementations, Trade product and Risk counterparts. 


What you will do:

  • Responsible for the efficient and proper utilization of cash & collateral throughout the firm, and its subsidiaries, on both a domestic and international basis. Working with the funding and credit relations groups, will analyze cash flow, use of cash capital and collateral, transfer of funds (intra-company and with outside parties), bank account usage, bank compensation, and flow-through of funds.
  • Integrates a solid understanding of industry and business standards and practices of collateral and margin processes.
  • Deals with collateral related problems independently and has some latitude to resolve complex issues.
  • Designs and analyzes complex reports often related, but not limited to Collateral and Margin processes to satisfy management requirements and support/control activities.
  • Minimizes risk to the bank through a solid understanding of procedural requirements - provides solutions to reduce errors, and to adhere to audit and control policies.
  • Provides guidance and/or on-the-job-training to new team members


What we'll need from you:

  • Relevant experience, preferably with Collateral Management, bond settlement expertise
  • Understanding of Facility Risk Ratios and the related risk and process involved. Ability to calculate and derive these ratios effectively
  • Good understanding of bond settlements and related cash settlement cycles
  • Ability to determine eligible collateral and agree substitutions with the client in line with all requirements of the ILOC Risk / eligibility criteria
  • Fluent English language skills
