Job Summary
The Training Program Manager (TPM) is responsible for leading the design, development, deployment, and continuous improvement of global training and readiness programs that support HP products, services, solutions, and support organizations. This role partners closely with Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, Sales, Services, Channel Partners, and Learning teams to ensure employees and partners have the knowledge, skills, and certifications required to successfully support and sell HP solutions.
The TPM manages end-to-end learning programs, including service qualification journeys, new product introduction (NPI) readiness, certification strategies, learning roadmaps, stakeholder engagement, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives. The role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and learning teams to ensure training delivers measurable business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Learning Program Strategy & Management
Lead global training programs supporting product, service, and solution readiness.
Develop and maintain training roadmaps aligned with business priorities and product release schedules.
Define learning objectives, certification requirements, and learner journeys for technical and non-technical audiences.
Drive continuous improvement of training effectiveness through analytics, feedback, and performance metrics.
Manage risks, dependencies, and timelines across multiple learning initiatives simultaneously.
Service Qualification & Certification Leadership
Design and maintain service qualification frameworks and certification paths.
Partner with Product Line, Support, and Services organizations to identify required competencies.
Simplify and modernize qualification programs to improve learner experience and business effectiveness.
Establish assessment strategies and certification governance processes.
Track certification compliance and readiness metrics globally.
New Product Introduction (NPI) Readiness
Coordinate readiness activities for product launches and major releases.
Develop launch training plans and stakeholder communication strategies.
Ensure training assets are available, validated, and deployed on schedule.
Partner with technical subject matter experts to identify support impacts and training requirements.
Measure launch readiness and learner adoption.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management
Act as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and learning teams.
Facilitate planning sessions, governance reviews, and readiness meetings.
Influence priorities across global teams without direct authority.
Build strong partnerships across Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support, Services, and Sales organizations.
Learning Content & Experience Oversight
Collaborate with instructional designers, developers, trainers, and SMEs to develop effective learning experiences.
Ensure learning solutions incorporate modern instructional design principles and digital learning best practices.
Support migration and modernization efforts within learning platforms and content ecosystems.
Advocate for innovative learning approaches, including AI-enabled learning experiences and workflow learning solutions.
Reporting & Analytics
Define key performance indicators for training programs.
Analyze learner engagement, completion, certification, and readiness data.
Produce executive-level business reviews and status reports.
Present recommendations based on data and business impact.
Learning Technology & Process Improvement
Partner with LMS and learning technology teams to optimize learner experiences.
Identify opportunities for automation, AI adoption, and operational efficiency.
Support implementation of new tools, workflows, and reporting capabilities.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Education, Technology, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
5+ years of experience in Training Program Management, Enablement, Learning & Development, Product Readiness, or a related discipline.
Experience managing global, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
Strong program management, organizational, and communication skills.
Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS).
Ability to translate technical concepts into business-focused learning solutions.
Demonstrated experience using data and metrics to influence decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting technical products, services, or customer support organizations.
Knowledge of certification programs, service qualification processes, or technical readiness initiatives.
Familiarity with instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles.
Experience with learning technologies such as Cornerstone, Saba, Articulate, Rise, Storyline, or similar platforms.
Exposure to AI-enabled learning tools, automation, and learning analytics.
PMP, Agile, Change Management, or related certifications preferred.
