The purpose of the PM BISTRO ATTENDANT is to prepare and serve food and beverages to guests in accordance with Courtyard by Marriott brand standards. This role supports the hotel’s ongoing effort to provide outstanding guest service while maximizing operational efficiency and financial profitability. The position includes both front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities during the evening meal period, including setup, service, and closing procedures.
Ensure full knowledge of the evening Bistro menu, including preparation, ingredients, presentation, and promotional specials.
Open the kitchen and front-of-house according to checklist procedures (including dish station, fryer, flat top, coolers, POS, and bar equipment).
Accurately take food and/or beverage orders and enter them into the MICROS POS system.
Prepare food and beverages according to brand and safety standards; ensure timely delivery—within 10 minutes for snacks/appetizers, and 17 minutes for entrées.
Set up and maintain bar and espresso service areas, including all tools, mixers, garnishes, and glassware.
Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with state, local, and company policies (ID verification for all guests appearing under 40).
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, bar, and dining area during and after service.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests or concerns throughout the shift.
Follow appropriate service protocols, including the 15/5 rule, friendly greeting, order accuracy, and table delivery with silverware and condiments.
Clear and sanitize tables, restock supplies, polish silverware, and monitor product inventory throughout the shift.
Perform nightly closing duties per checklist: restock beverages, clean all areas, shut down equipment, complete reports, and secure cash drop.
Deliver a warm greeting and maintain eye contact and enthusiasm throughout guest interactions.
Monitor cleanliness of dining room and bar; maintain music and lighting ambiance appropriate for evening service.
Restock and secure all bar and kitchen inventory, clean and sanitize equipment.
Drain and clean dishwasher and ice bin; shut off all kitchen equipment.
Ensure dining area and bar are reset and clean for next-day service.
Complete all required closing paperwork and meal period reports.
Report any maintenance issues or product shortages to management.

High School diploma or equivalent.
6mos- 1 year of experience in a restaurant or food & beverage service role preferred.
Familiarity with MICROS POS and basic food handling knowledge is a plus.
TIPS or equivalent Alcohol serving course certification
Ability to speak, read, and write proficient English.
Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be at least 18 years of age and authorized to serve alcohol in accordance with local laws.
Indoor work environment with moderate noise typical of a restaurant or bar setting.
Fast-paced and guest-focused, requiring multitasking and efficient time management.
This position regularly requires the ability to:
Stand and walk for extended periods (more than 2/3 of the shift).
Use hands and arms to reach, carry, and operate tools and equipment.
Lift and/or push up to 50 pounds.
Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with health codes and safety standards.
