The Challenge

We are looking for a Trade Marketing and Customer Development Specialist for Italy, with a big passion for biscuits and exiting new challenges within an agile and young set-up.

You will be part of the beginning of a successful journey and have the concrete opportunity to make the difference.

The position entails

We are seeking a committed and passionate Trade Marketing & Customer Development Specialist to help drive and further grow our business across Italy and built new opportunities in addition to the already well-established biscuits business.

Reporting to the Country Lead, primary focus of the role will be to drive the relationship with distributor in charge of our product ranges in GDO and work on specific projects in new categories.

New exiting projects will become live in the coming months, so this role offers the chance to have a real influence in the setup of new business opportunities.

Your main responsibilities

  • Maximize the potential of new categories by creating and implementing marketing and commercial strategies in cooperation with the Country Lead and pladis central Marketing.
  • Build new Route to Market (RTM) for new product categories and effectively develop third party distributor business partnerships.
  • Drive category management through Nielsen data and market researches, in cooperation with the distributor and with support of the regional marketing.
  • Provide distributors and retailers with convincing arguments about pladis business plans and drive the implementation.
  • Ensure that sales and marketing strategies deliver the short and long term P&L targets, take corrective action when and where necessary, avoid overspend through a strict investment monitoring.
  • Manage financial and administrative workflow with current distributor of biscuits range and several vendors (payments, invoicing, overdue, etc.).
  • Take care of demand planning and service level in cooperation with central Customer Service.
  • Undertake ad hoc projects with local and/or international scope.

What do you bring?

  • 2/3 years working experience in a FMCG Company /  GDO.
  • Proven business analysis and/or business development working experiences.
  • Proactive attitudes and capabilities to work in autonomy on dedicated projects.
  • Demand planning and customer service experiences will be a plus.
  • Attitude to work with numbers, mastery of Excel and Power Point.
  • Relevant and completed university education.
  • English knowledge at C1 level.
