In this position, you will be supporting all operational functions of the full Renewal Sales cycle. This includes interfacing, guiding, educating, supporting & transacting with Customers, Account Executives, Solution Architects, Finance, Deal Desk and Legal. This role is unique, as it will have exposure to/require close collaboration/influence with Senior Leadership/Executives both internal and externally. To be successful in this role, you need to be a highly motivated, customer-obsessed, sales-driven individual who has a passion for technology that provides significant value to our customers. You will have the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative companies that are using Data and AI to transform the world.

The impact you will have:

  • Analyze, own, and accurately forecast risk at 180 days in advance of expiration.
  • Effectively lead your assigned territory to exceed quarterly and annual booking plan.
  • Lead weekly/biweekly forecast calls with Account Executives and Sales Leadership.
  • Own the creation and leading of cross-functional churn mitigation plans
  • A strong desire to embrace partnership and collaboration; You'll be working with multiple teams on a regular basis and helping to establish the Renewals Team role and "brand" across the APJ region
  • Success in this role requires exceptional communication and Interpersonal skills, operational excellence, deal formulation and negotiation experience, a strong understanding of Databricks products, policy and a proven ability to consistently execute

What we look for:

  • 7-10+ years of SaaS customer facing or similar roles, renewals-specific experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience and confidence in collaborating with Senior/Executive leaderships cross functionally.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to a diverse audience both internally and externally; Ability to manage customer escalations through to a satisfactory resolution for both the customer and Databricks
  • Strong understanding of renewals best practices, policies and proven ability to drive industry leading renewal on-time rates
  • Good understanding of enterprise IT and big data technologies including Spark, AI, data science, data engineering, Hadoop, Cassandra etc
  • Resourceful, self-motivated and able to be successful in a fast-paced environment.
  • Conversant with business issues our customers face today and likely big data use cases in different industries
  • Aptitude for and interest in financial analysis and outcomes to help customers understand the ROI of Databricks.
  • Appreciation for and interest in the underlying drivers of business success across industry sectors
