Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and develop suppliers specializing in steel casting (sand casting, investment casting, etc.).  
- Conduct supplier audits (quality, process, capability) and drive corrective actions (CAPA).  
- Collaborate with suppliers to improve casting processes (smelting, pouring, heat treatment, machining, NDT, etc.).  
- Resolve defects like porosity, shrinkage, inclusions, cracks, dimensional deviations.  
- Implement APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC and Measurement correlation for casting suppliers.  
- Drive cost reduction & lead time optimization in the supply chain.  
- Work with cross-functional teams (R&D, Sourcing, Quality) on new product development, CPI and VAVE projects.

Degree Requirement:

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science.

Experience and Technical knowledge:

- 5+ years in steel casting supplier development, foundry engineering, or casting quality. 

- Knowledge of casting standards and quality system(ASTM, ISO 9001/IATF 16949, etc.). 

- Familiarity with casting technicals below is a plus:

  • Casting simulation software (MAGMA, ProCAST, or Equivalent)
  • Metallurgical analysis (microstructure, mechanical properties). 
  • Non-destructive testing (NDT – X-ray, UT, MT, PT). 

- Industry experience at manufacturing, automotive or heavy machinery sectors.

- Fluent communication in English and Chinese verbally and in writing.

- Analytical mindset with proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power BI)

Additional Technical Skills:

- Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt preferred)

- Problem-solving (8D, Root Cause Analysis). 

- Strong negotiation & supplier relationship management.

Supplier Evaluations and Certification: Knowledge of supplier evaluations and certification; ability to identify the methods, tools and documentation for evaluating, selecting and certifying vendors, suppliers and partners.

This role requires about 50% travelling within North Asia.
