Position Summary:
As an Analytics Associate, you will be a hands-on builder who helps transform ideas into production-ready tools. Working closely with an Analytics Manager, you will contribute to projects end-to-end, developing dashboards, web applications, and automated data checks that give stakeholders answers in minutes instead of days. The role follows an office-first hybrid model and requires < 10 percent travel.
About the Team:
Product Operations is streamlining every stage of the Product Lifecycle by automating manual tasks, tightening data quality, and speeding up insight delivery.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
50% - Maintain, Analyze, and Execute on Analytics Based Projects
Prototype, refine, and deploy automated analytics pipelines powered by LLM; auto-generate analyses, stakeholder summaries, and enriched metadata with minimal manual touch
Support retrieval-augmented generation pipelines where needed, and publish dashboards that blend fresh metrics with concise narrative commentary
Track accuracy, response time, and cost per insight; partner with the Analytics Manager to roll out incremental, data-driven improvements that keep raising quality while controlling spend
30% - Project Execution and Stakeholder Support
Meet with product owners, engineers, and operations partners to translate business questions into technical requirements
Support sprint planning, manage Jira tasks, and hit deadlines with manager support, flagging risks early and often
Provide best-practice guidance on data modeling, visualization, and prompt engineering, so stakeholders get maximum value from every deliverable
Document solutions thoroughly and support knowledge-transfer sessions to ensure long-term adoption
20% - Process Improvement and Knowledge Sharing
Review current team and wider Product Operations workflows to pinpoint friction and redundancy
Draft proposals that show how AI automations or data-model tweaks will save time and improve accuracy; share findings with leadership with support from the Analytics Manager
Build quick-start guides, lunch-and-learn decks, and short video demos so colleagues can confidently use new tools
Stay on top of emerging Snowflake Cortex and Windsurf/Codex capabilities, experimenting early and socializing wins across the team
Expected Education & Experience:
2 to 4 years of professional analytics or data-engineering experience in a corporate environment
Exposure to writing production Python or R
Hands-on exposure to Natural Language Processing or Large Language Models, either in coursework or live deployments
Experience designing stakeholder-facing dashboards and maintaining scalable API integrations is highly valued
Excellent communicator, thoughtful team player, highly adaptive, and a strong sense of personal integrity
Experience building with GPT, Gemini, Claude or similar; prompt-engineering best practices; exposure to evaluating hallucination, bias, and safety
Strong SQL, Snowflake, Power BI/Tableau; ability to weave model outputs directly into dashboards and data products
Familiarity with Python, PowerShell, or JS for orchestrating APIs, vector databases, and CI/CD; enthusiasm for turning ad-hoc analysis into repeatable, self-service tooling
Capable of framing complex AI concepts in plain language; supports stakeholder storytelling and change management
Comfortable supporting rapid A/B tests, establishing offline/online evaluation metrics, and iterating quickly with guidance
Can help codify new processes, create training assets, and support teams to adopt AI-augmented workflows
Willingness to learn and expand knowledge every day through independent learning and digging into challenging problems
Passionate about contributing to teams and developing solutions for others to follow
Able to intake business questions, identify solutions, and assist operational teams with execution to achieve goals

Expected Compensation
$56,000 - $96,000The base salary range shown reflects the full range for this role from minimum to maximum. At athenahealth, base pay depends on multiple factors, including job-related experience, relevant knowledge and skills, how your qualifications compare to others in similar roles, and geographical market rates. Base pay is only one part of our competitive Total Rewards package - depending on role eligibility, we offer both short and long-term incentives by way of an annual discretionary bonus plan, variable compensation plan, and equity plans.
