 ABOUT THE POSITION 

As the leader for the entire North America (NA), Direct to Consumer (DTC), you will lead and manage all in store marketing and visual merchandising strategy.  You will report to the  NA VP Marketing and work directly with the NA DTC Senior Vice President to create, plan and execute fleet wide consumer experience for all Outlet, Clearance, Popup, Tent, Brand and Employee Stores. Leads team on both seasonal and evergreen store experience executions including windows, mannequin strategy, branding, floor plans, all seasonal marketing executions, specific initiatives as defined by overall NA DTC strategy for all US and Canada locations. Partner with Global Brand Marketing team and Brand Strategy as well as NA Wholesale leadership to enable full marketplace connectivity and initiative planning.

 HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Create and drive vision of the Columbia Brand consumer experience in all Direct-to-Consumer locations in both US and Canada.

  • Lead and execute store experience strategy including in-store Marketing, all seasonal storytelling, seasonal marketing calendar, door list, visual merchandising strategy, and overall consumer experience.

  • Lead the North America DTC Store experience team across channels to empower creativity, strategic decision making, and drive accountability within the VW/ISM team within the NA DTC leadership team.

  • Directly work with NA DTC SVP, VP and Store Leadership team to create, plan and execute fleet wide consumer experience for all Branded, Outlet, Clearance, Pop-Up and Employee stores.

  • Create seasonal marketing calendars and lead multiple initiative directives for in-store marketing, global brand stories, promotions and sale assets, Outlet promotions and marketing directives, signage, brand imagery, visual merchandising directives, mannequin and window direction and the infrastructure vision to support these directives.

  • As a key part of the team leading the new NA Brand store concept development, you will, drive innovative thinking and accountability in partnership with Global Brand Design and Global Store Development teams.

  • Manage and plan annual budgets for NA Store Experience team and report regularly to NA Finance and GBE VP.

  • Direct Brand Store team on plans and executions for seasonal storytelling, product communication, and seasonal floor sets and visual merchandising plans and execution.

  • Will direct Visual Merchandising team across both channels (Brand & Outlet) to create, plan and execute VM Standards for all product presentation and in-store product experiences (technology + service + product benefits).

  • Responsible for executing new Footwear presentation standards and in-store marketing strategy for each channel.

  • Manage and direct US Outlet instore marketing and Visual merchandising teams to execute seasonal strategy and product marketing, including asset creation, approvals and creating annual strategic goals for the team.

  • Partner with Global Brand Marketing team and Brand Strategy as well as Global Brand Experience team and NA Wholesale leadership to enable full marketplace connectivity and initiative planning.

  • Partner with NA Merchandising team to understand key product stories for each season and recommend marketing and product presentation strategy for each seasonal story.

  • Responsible to NA LT, GBE LT and Global Brand Marketing team to report results, recaps, visual summaries and budget information for all NA Brand Store executions.

  • An experienced people leader with strong team management, leadership and interpersonal skills 

  • Able to lead and influence individuals and teams while driving results through teamwork and collaboration. 

  • Flexible with the ability to adapt as needed. 

  • Able to deliver successful presentations to both small and large groups. 

  • A strong communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

YOU HAVE 

  • 10 years of Brand/In-Line Retail Store Marketing experience in a corporate position.

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing or related experience.

  • Strong strategic leadership and planning experience.

  • Brand Marketing experience.

  • Demonstrated consumer experience leadership and strategy.

  • Strong budget management experience.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of retail store design processes.

  • Global Retail and Marketing experience.

  • Retail Store concept planning experience.

  • Team management experience, including development, mentorship and coaching.

  • Deep understanding of store operations and store staff experience.

  • May travel on occasion.
