Reporting to the SVP of the AI/ML and PaaS Business Unit, the Director of Product Management will lead DO’s product vision and strategy across our AI/ML product lines, and manage a seasoned team of Product Managers .

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Define a cloud-centric product vision, strategy, and prioritized roadmap for DO’s AI/ML product portfolio that is grounded in simplicity and differentiation.
  • Work across the DO organization (product marketing, sales, etc.) to influence and ensure alignment, support and commitment on product vision, strategy and prioritized roadmap.
  • Identify new opportunities and areas of investment for the business unit that delight DO’s customers.
  • Interact and learn from customers to better understand pain points and to identify opportunities for improving the AI/ML experience.
  • Actively lead and participate in all phases of DOs rhythm of business, including quarterly planning, P&L data analysis and reporting, monthly and weekly product and business unit reviews and more.
  • Define scope, objectives and key results for the AI/ML business unit that drive business objectives.
  • Support DO Executive Leadership Team during quarterly & annual planning through clear roadmap prioritization, development and presentation of business cases, data-driven proposals and justifications that simplify decision-making.
  • Lead and manage a team of experienced Product Managers. Along the way you will mentor, develop and grow your team to be the next generation of leadership for the organization.
  • Drive Product Management and Engineering best practices to improve consistency, accelerate delivery cadence and sustain organizational growth.

What We’ll Expect From You:

  • Leadership experience in Product Management or Engineering running a large business or business unit across a public or private cloud-centric infrastructure.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and experience driving AI/ML product portfolios including AI infrastructure, platform, and applications. 
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and drive the team forward by building a compelling vision and aligning stakeholders. 
  • Leadership experience managing high performing Product Managers.
  • Experience with financial and business case modeling.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced and agile product development and delivery environment.
  • Experience interacting with external customers directly with a passion for customer success.
  • Past success in shaping software products with an eye on simplicity.
  • Successfully managed a complex technical product.
  • Hands-on experience as a user of cloud infrastructure is a plus.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical or business field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Economic/Finance is a plus. 
  • MSc or MBA is a plus.

  • We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $220,000 - $300,000 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills. You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance. We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
