BASIC PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering technology solutions that enhance the productivity and experience of end users. This role is pivotal in ensuring that the end user computing environment is secure, reliable, and aligned with the organization’s strategic goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design and implement technology solutions for employee computers, devices, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
  • Develop and maintain technical plans and IT policies to support robust end user computing solutions.
  • Partner with a Managed Service Provider (MSP) peer to ensure effective service delivery and adherence to service level commitments.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to test and implement new technologies and security solutions.
  • Translate business requirements from the IT and business teams, provides technology solutions, and develop architectural designs.
  • Manage technical debt and risks, staying abreast of industry best practices, technologies, trends, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise, Infrastructure, and Security teams to perform POC (Proof of Concept) for innovative technologies and implement endpoint computing security solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise, guidance, and leadership for a scalable, optimized End User Computing infrastructure, security, and applications to meet industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, IT policies, procedures, and implement strategies for robust End User Computing solutions, including systems management solution for software distribution and maintenance.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster effective Risk Management awareness, including disaster avoidance, change and problem management.
  • Build strong relationships with business leaders, department heads, and end-users. Understand their needs, pain points, and strategic objectives.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned which are within the activities above.
  • Lead and manage all phases of project work and change requests.

  • Conduct training sessions, develop communication, and offer ongoing support, tailor effective communication with remote IT teams and end-users.
  • Work closely with project managers and IT teams
  • Prioritize and plan project activities to meet business needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS NEEDED:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Sciences, or a related field.
  • 10+ plus years of related experience. Experience in building a robust MSP management framework that can adapt to changing IT landscapes and ensure that service levels are met effectively.
  • Strong executive presence and communication skills with the proven ability to engage with and align senior executives.
  • Extensive experience with cloud-based collaboration technologies, including Microsoft O365 application suite.

  • Experience with systems management, Active Directory design, application management, and OS patching methodology.
  • Knowledge of Azure AD Premium Features, MS Intune, and client deployment within a multi-forest domain environment.
  • Works independently to successfully meet project deliverables, relevant experience in business analysis, project management, or IT service management.
  • Ability to mentor and guide technical resources on projects. Up to date on emerging technology trends.
  • Expertise in ServiceNow and ITSM practices for ticketing and escalation processes to standardize service management.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ITIL, PMP, MCSE, PMI, MCSA, MCP, LEAN, CAPM, TOGAF, or PRINCE2 are desirable.
  • Negotiation: Ability to balance business needs and IT constraints.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset to address complex challenges with the ability to think and plan strategically.
  • Strong understanding of business processes and technology
  • Collaboration: Work effectively across cross-functional teams.
