About Glean

We’re on a mission to expand human potential to do extraordinary work.

Glean was founded by a seasoned team of former Google search and Facebook engineers, who wondered why we don’t have an easier way of finding what we need at work. In our personal lives, we have tools to help us find pretty much whatever we need. Why don’t we have that at work? And that was the beginning of Glean.

Glean is the Work AI platform that connects and understands all your enterprise data, to generate trusted answers and automate work grounded in company knowledge. We’re a diverse team of curious and creative people who want to help each other get big things done—so we can help other teams do the same.

We're backed by some of the Valley's leading venture capitalists—including Sequoia, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed, and General Catalyst—and have assembled a world-class team with senior leadership experience at Google, Slack, Facebook, Dropbox, Rubrik, Uber, Intercom, Pinterest, Palantir, and others.

What’s the opportunity?

Glean is looking for an experienced Website Developer who can translate web designs into a high-quality build on our website using Webflow and build custom landing pages and emails in Marketo.

As a Website Developer, you will be responsible for developing, and maintaining visually stunning and highly functional websites, landing pages, and experiences using the Webflow platform. You will collaborate closely with our design and marketing teams to translate their concepts and requirements into seamless web experiences. You should possess a strong understanding of front-end development, excellent problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for design details (e.g. even being able to suggest and build a reasonable solution in the absence of a full mockup).

What will I be doing?

  • Own the glean.com marketing website from a technical perspective.
  • Translate design concepts into interactive web elements and pages using Webflow's visual interface and custom code when necessary.
  • Implement animations, transitions, and other interactive features to enhance user experience.
  • Optimize websites for performance, speed, UX and SEO best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues related to Webflow and Marketo development.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across design and marketing to ensure projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
  • Help troubleshoot and collaborate on website data optimizations through Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
  • Conduct regular testing and quality assurance to identify and fix bugs or usability issues.
  • Stay up to date with the latest web design and development trends, techniques, and technologies.

What skills do I need?

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in website development, from high-level strategic direction to production details, with a strong portfolio of Webflow development projects. (WordPress or other CMS experience a plus)
  • Proven experience as a Webflow Developer or similar role, with a portfolio of successfully delivered web projects.
  • Expertise in Webflow to build user-facing websites and landing pages that are responsive, modular, robust, and secure. Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with experience working with API and third-party libraries, custom code, and Marketo forms. Websites are visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive across multiple devices.
  • Experience creating A/B website experiments in VWO or a related testing product.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and responsive web design principles.
  • Experience with building emails and landing pages using Marketing automation tools like Marketo, Hubspot, etc is a plus.
  • Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and Lottie is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment with stakeholders based primarily in the U.S.
  • Strong written/verbal communication and organization skills with a track record of successfully collaborating with design, marketing, and business partners to understand project requirements, wireframes, and design mockups.
  • Experience executing and thriving in fast-paced high-growth environments. Ability to independently prioritize work based on project objectives and business goals, producing high-quality work with speed and accuracy.
  • A learning, self-starter, and growth mindset with the ability to operate independently within a small team and navigate ambiguous projects, with a sense of curiosity, and a desire to make things better.
