Marketing Strategy Director

As MKT Director, in Tax & Accounting Segment, you will be responsible for driving all marketing strategies and activities to meet business objectives in the BRAZIL. He/She is accountable for developing a comprehensive marketing strategy and a set of marketing programs and tactics to achieve the financial and strategic objectives of the TAP business, leveraging resources on their team and in partnership with centers of excellence in marketing and other functions.
This leader will be responsible for marketing strategy for this segment across all our offerings. They will be accountable for driving business results in collaboration with multiple cross-functional teams, as well as functional marketing groups, including but not limited to: campaign planning and design, sales and product alignment, content and product marketing, analytics and budget management. This is a highly visible position that liaises with Segment Vice President, Directors and C-suite executives. The ideal candidate will be passionate about driving TR growth across Tax & Accounting products, and key partners, and exude ownership of the business and be able to deliver tangible results in a matrixed environment.
This role reports to the LatAm MKT Vice President, and into the Chief Marketing Officer organization.
About the Role
Implement and manage processes to ensure smooth operation of strategic marketing plans, performance measurement, and infrastructure
Collaborate on the execution of worldwide, regional or local marketing and promotional activities and coordinate marketing deliverables and related activities across key internal cross-functional groups
Localize and coordinate execution of Marketing plans that are generated in response to segment/regional market needs and determine the ideal mix of tactics
Monitor regulatory changes/impact on the market and proactively feed back market insight to all stakeholders, identifying new opportunities and processes for marketing to bring the voice of the customer into the organization
Implement metrics to effectively measure ROI for each initiative, and contribute to the transparency of reporting.
Manage brand positioning, strategic MarComms, advertising, internet marketing, company-wide promotions and events, email and direct mail tools. May provide a comprehensive program of marketing capabilities to the local sales channel
Accountabilities
Delivery of effective marketing strategies to fuel sales funnel, from marketing qualified lead to closed sale
Establish and deliver the financial targets for the segment
Delivery of sales growth through targeted marketing strategies
Ensure customer voice is driving marketing actions
About You
Essential Skills and Experience for the role of Marketing Strategy Director in Tax & Account Professionals:
What You Need to Succeed
Experience leading global teams in a matrixed environment with a data-driven approach.
Extensive leadership experience in enterprise technology and cloud-centric industries; scale and sophistication of a large global business.
A track record of success as an innovator and marketing strategist with 10 or more years of diverse experience in the technology industry.
Demonstrated experience leading and growing a successful SaaS marketing organization of large scope, global reach, and complexity.
Large experience in financial service environment is crucial.
Confirmed experience driving marketing strategy and programs (thought leadership, demand generation) at scale.
Depth of knowledge and experience effectively crafting and running demand generation strategies, working closely with Sales and Product Marketing leadership.
Steadfast focus on the customer experience.
Deep understanding of marketing's role in delivering time-to-value as well as topline revenue.
Undergraduate degree required, further relevant education preferred e.g. MBA
Fluent in written and spoken English, Portuguese and Spanish
Knowledge of the domains in which Thomson Reuters operates such as Legal and Tax Technology, Media
Relevant experience working in top tier strategy consulting or in-house strategy teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong narrative and visual storytelling ability
Synthesis and simplification of complex ideas
Proven project management skills; the ability to manage multiple projects with competing demands
Proven experience working in large, complex, global organization
Successful track record of collaboratively working with colleagues across regions, markets and cultures
Flexibility in working across multiple time zones
A team player who can effectively influence and develop relationships with cross-functional teams
Ability to move at pace, developing pragmatic options and solutions and bringing stakeholders along on the journey
