WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
The Sales Representative reports directly to the Marketplace Unit (MPU) Director and partners closely with cross-functional teams across Merchandising, Demand and Supply Management (DSM), Marketplace Operations (MPO), and the Partnership Transformation team. Together, these teams drive seamless business continuity and cultivate trust-based relationships with retail partners—activating Nike’s marketplace strategies and amplifying brand presence across Japan.

Delivering exceptional service and building trusted partnerships will be essential to driving Nike’s retail evolution in Japan.
Minimum 3 years of experience in field sales management within the athletic industry, including retail buying, merchandising, sales planning, or business analysis
Bachelor’s degree or higher education
Deep understanding of the athletic industry, including product knowledge and marketplace dynamics
Strategic thinker with the ability to develop holistic business solutions in a complex, multi-brand retail environment
Proven success in implementing sales programs, policies, and financial models to drive business planning and accurate revenue forecasting
Skilled in delivering compelling presentations and crafting strategic, customer-centric solutions
Willingness to travel domestically once per quarter to engage with retail partners
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese, with the ability to influence across teams and leadership levels
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
As a Senior Sales Representative, you’ll lead the development and execution of seasonal business plans to grow Nike’s presence in the youth culture and Sporting Goods marketplace in Japan. You will also help:
Build and execute seasonal business plans and revenue targets aligned with Nike’s strategic priorities
Partner with accounts and cross-functional teams to co-create impactful marketing plans for product launches
Monitor weekly sales performance, analyze marketplace trends and consumer insights, and share actionable reports
Collaborate with retail partners to evolve their business strategies and uncover new growth opportunities
