About the role
The Rehabilitation Unit is a 22-bed unit that provides rehabilitation to patients with neurological conditions, rheumatology, cancer, transplant, LVADs, aged care, orthopaedic, and HIV patients.
Assist patients to achieve their maximum potential when recovering from an injury, illness or surgery.
Monitor the impact of nursing care and maintain ongoing communication with the registered nurse regarding the health and functional status of individuals.
Advocate for and facilitate the involvement of individuals, their families and significant others in planning and evaluating care and progress toward health outcomes.
Demonstrate critical and reflective thinking skills in contributing to decision making which includes reporting changes in health and functional status and individual responses to health care interventions.
About you
Currently registered as an Enrolled Nurse (Division 2) with the Australian Health Professionals (AHPRA).
Demonstrated ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated evidence of integration of theoretical knowledge and clinical skills, critical thinking and analysis in daily practice.
Demonstrated effective time management skills and ability to prioritise competing workloads within a complex environment.
