Within the U.S. Marketing organization sits the U.S. Investment Marketing team which is responsible for developing and executing marketing activities for U.S. priority mutual funds, Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs) and Models. Marketing activities include the development and management of marketing collateral across product launches, promotional product content, email promotions/programs and social media.
The Senior Investment Marketing Specialist for Franklin Templeton’s U.S. Marketing organization will report to a Investment Marketing Director and will primarily help position Franklin Templeton’s capabilities for Separately Managed Account (SMA) products in the U.S. Distribution organization, research competitive trends in marketing those strategies, and help drive marketing and promotional initiatives related to those strategies.
This individual will work closely with other U.S. Marketing colleagues and act as a liaison on marketing specific matters, collaborating with dedicated SMA Distribution members, several independent Specialized Investment Managers’ marketing organizations, Global Advisory Services (“GAS”) Central Marketing Operations areas, and Compliance analysts. This role will have high visibility across the organization.
Role Focus:
Own ongoing timely production of quarterly content for SMA sales team use.
Help lead marketing stream for SMA product launches and change initiatives, including owning web and core suite content display.
Anticipate impact of SMA product changes across all content (including web). Design and initiate action plan to ensure consistency, timeliness and accuracy of product information
Own distribution of materials on internal systems
Manage compliance oversight process to ensure all materials adhere to established policies, procedures, and controls in place for audit purposes
Identify areas for process efficiencies within the group and/or using technology to improve the materials creation process. Opportunity to streamline processes and production to make it more efficient.
Partner with client marketing and integrated marketing teams to optimize web engagement strategy

Work cross-functionally across U.S. distribution to promote and educate on our SMA platform.
Understand the big picture and look for ways to align tactical needs with strategic focus
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize across multiple projects
What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a major in economics, mass communication or marketing.
Passion to learn about the asset management industry and SMA market
Strong attention to detail
Strong project management and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
Effective interpersonal skills, proficiency at prioritization, the ability to simultaneously manage multiple tasks, and the ability to work under tight deadlines
A true team player, translating prior knowledge and experience into strong and productive relationships
Functional knowledge of investment landscape with the ability to apply those concepts to the development of compelling product stories, content, and materials
Basic knowledge of regulatory and industry rules, guidelines, and standards
Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the salary for this position to range between $75,000 - $85,000.
