The primary role of APAC Distribution function is to be responsible for all operational activities including key deliverables such as planning and analyzing resources and ensuring items are packaged according to specifications. Coordinating import. Performing distribution center/warehousing processing and distribution of orders. Developing & maintaining master schedule, pertaining to transport and cost effectiveness. Maintaining inventory levels. Identifying delivery problems, solutions, and improvement of transportation service levels.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities

  • The primary objective of the DIstribution Operations Associate is to oversee the logistics processes that enable and optimize the physical distribution of materials, products and information flow from point of supply to end customer. The role is responsible for enabling a smooth distribution operation within the market, focusing on service & process enablement, and customer satisfaction.

  • Key responsibilities include inbound and outbound transportation, distribution, warehousing and fulfilment, import, forwarding, customs and 3rd party logistics and governance of these functions.

  • Other responsibilities may include:

  • Oversee the order fulfillment process for local Japan distribution, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products.

  • Replenishment stock and manage inventory level in the warehouse, ensuring inventory accuracy and security with proper procedures and processes.

  • Purchasing goods from local suppliers.

  • Communicate with the warehouse team and problem solve day to day issues to ensure smooth operations

  • Provide delivery notes, receipts and invoices to customers.

  • Communicate with customers, handling any customer complaints or feedback related to transportation and logistics, and work proactively to resolve issues and ensuring proper documentation.

  • Contribute to process optimization opportunities, including improvement and standardization of work to transform the ways of working.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience.
  • Strong sense of ownership
  • Customer centric
  • Strong communications skills 
  • Strong analytical skills to quickly read data presented from either Oracle or Excel spreadsheets, and make judgement decisions based on this – changes to production lead-times, order dates, quantities, inventory picking and shipping errors etc
  • Business-level English, Fluent Japanese
