Position: HSE & HR Coordinator
Location: Dickinson, ND (On-site)

Position Overview:
YES & ENETK is seeking a HSE & HR Specialist to support both field operations and office teams. This dual-role position is responsible for ensuring workplace safety compliance while managing key human resources functions across the employee lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
HSE Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs aligned with OSHA, DOT, and company standards
  • Conduct field audits, inspections, incident investigations, and near-miss reporting
  • Coordinate safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training programs
  • Track and maintain safety metrics (EMR, TRIR, DART) and compliance documentation
  • Support customer-required safety platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, Veriforce, PEC, etc.)
  • Assist operations with site-specific safety compliance and documentation
  • Manage PPE inventory and safety supplies
  • Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization

 

HR Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate recruiting, onboarding, and orientation for new hires
  • Maintain employee personnel files, certifications, employee handbook, setup employee yearly reviews and training records
  • Administer background checks, drug testing, and fit-for-duty requirements
  • Support benefits administration, PTO tracking, and HRIS systems
  • Assist with payroll processes including timesheet verification and labor coding coordination
  • Partner with leadership on employee relations, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and company procedures
  • Support employee engagement initiatives, recruiting events, and culture-building activities

Additional Responsibilities

  • Coordinate onboarding/offboarding logistics including systems access, equipment, and permissions
  • Maintain contractor prequalification materials and audit documentation
  • Track fleet compliance including vehicle records and driver qualification files
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and contribute to Monthly Business Reviews (MBR)
  • Assist with audits, insurance reviews, and regulatory inquiries
  • Recommend and implement improvements to HR and HSE systems and processes

Qualifications:

  • 2–5 years of combined experience in HSE and/or HR (construction or industrial preferred).
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and HR best practices.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 and common HRIS tools.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively across field and office settings
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt in a fast-paced environment
  • Service-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills

Preferred:

  • Experience with contractor compliance platforms (ISNetworld, Avetta, etc.)
  • Background in construction, energy, or industrial services
  • Degree in HR, business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
