Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 3pm-11:30pm, e/o weekend and rotating holidays

What you will need:

License: Certification: Current MLS/MT (ASCP) registration or equivalent.

Education: Bachelor’s degree/ Associate degree in a chemical, physical, biological, clinical laboratory science or medical technology program from and accredited

Experience: Minimum of one years of laboratory experience in high/Moderate complexity testing.

• Skills: Essential Functions:

Able to solve technical and interdepartmental problems related to the various Laboratory areas.  Capable of identifying problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of results, and she/he takes corrective action or notifies appropriate supervisory personnel. Good communication and organizational skills.  Ability to work cooperatively with others and inspire their cooperation.

Job Summary

The purpose of this job is to be responsible for accurately performs routine and special laboratory tests according to procedure manuals and records their results; evaluates test results, including normal and abnormal results which require notification, documentation, and/or verification.
