Job Profile Summary:

This role will be responsible for coordinating planning, dispatching, and costing activities where crossing between the US and Mexico is involved. This will also require a high level of vendor communication giving direction, requirements, and expectations on each transaction.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate trailer staging at client ship sites with approved vendors, overseeing they comply with customer requirements and CTAPT regulations.
  • Timely and concise communication with account teams, clients, and vendors to ensure seamless transit and timely escalation of any issues.
  • Ensure timely and accurate updates of shipment milestones in the system.
  • Accurately record and maintain vendor cost information in the system in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate trailer, strap, and load bar inventory at all times/locations.
  • Ensure all crossing paperwork is provided and follows proper procedures in case of customs inspections.
  • Proactively coordinate daily crossing logistics operations, overseeing partner performance and collaborating closely to meet customer expectations while ensuring full compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
  • Authorize and follow up the payments of invoices for our drayage carriers.
  • Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Management System. 

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in customs and logistics
  • Fluent in Spanish/English both verbal and written.
  • Proactively coordinate daily crossing logistics operations to ensure efficiency and compliance.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Familiarity with all border crossing documentation and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Highly organized
  • Detail oriented

Physical Requirements:

  • Remain in a stationary/seated position for an extended period.
  • Regularly required to operate a computer, telephone, keyboard, and other office machinery.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
  • The ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and/or other sounds.
