Associate Investment Strategist, Investment Solutions (m/f/d)

The Associate Investment Strategist will be part of the European team of Dimensional’s Investment Solutions Group (ISG), which acts as a source of specialized investment knowledge that delivers thought leadership, education and analysis to our professional clients.

The Associate Investment Strategist will work collaboratively with others in the ISG team, Portfolio Managers, Researchers, and our sales team with a focus on quantitative analysis, bespoke portfolio analytics, asset allocation, and other projects. To succeed in the role, the candidate requires strong technical proficiency, in-depth investment knowledge and excellent presentation skills.

Responsibilities:

• Become a subject-matter expert in Dimensional’s evidence-based investment approach in equities and fixed income and its implementation across strategies and vehicle types (including funds, active ETFs and separate accounts).
• Collaborate with the sales team on client questions about Dimensional products, competitor products or other technical investment topics.
• Independently analyze and interpret investment data to create narratives, tables, and graphs for our clients to help them make informed investment decisions.
• Support the growth of the business and various ISG activities in Europe by becoming an expert for existing investment content and by developing new content and messaging, including slides, brochures, portfolio commentary and articles.
• Prepare and manage presentations on Dimensional’s research, portfolio construction, portfolio management, asset allocation, ESG and other investment topics.
• Become a trusted partner for our German sales team to convey our investment approach to financial advisers, wealth managers and institutional investors in investment conferences or one-on-one meetings over the long term.

Requirements:

• Master’s degree (or bachelor’s degree with additional qualification) in finance, statistics, economics, mathematics, or a related field.
• Robust experience working in the investment or asset management industry or related experience.
• Strong investment background and understanding of public equity markets. Knowledge of fixed income markets is a plus.
• General understanding of theoretical and empirical research on asset pricing.
• High attention to detail and comfortable working independently with data and statistical concepts.
• Excellent analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills (in both German and English) to articulate investment concepts to a variety of audience types.
• Evidence of strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn and respond to constructive feedback and guidance. 
• Experience presenting technical investment topics to external stakeholders.
• Excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus.

Die/der Associate Investment Strategist wird eng mit anderen Mitgliedern des ISG-Teams, Portfoliomanagern, Research-Mitarbeitern sowie mit dem Sales-Team zusammenarbeiten und sich dabei auf quantitative Analysen, maßgeschneiderte Portfolioanalysen, Anlageallokationsaspekte und andere Projekte konzentrieren. Aufgaben:

• Aneignung von Expertenwissen über den evidenzbasierten Investmentansatz von Dimensional im Aktien- und Anleihenbereich sowie dessen Umsetzung in verschiedenen Strategien und Anlageformen (einschließlich Fonds, aktiver ETFs und Spezialmandate).
• Kooperation mit dem Sales-Team und Beantwortung von Kundenfragen zu Produkten von Dimensional, Produkten von Wettbewerbern oder zu anderen technischen Anlagethemen.
• Selbstständige Analyse und Interpretation von Investmentdaten sowie Erstellung von Übersichten, Tabellen und Grafiken, um unseren Kunden fundierte Anlageentscheidungen zu ermöglichen.
• Unterstützung des Unternehmenswachstums und verschiedener ISG-Aktivitäten in Europa, indem Sie Expertin bzw. Experte für bereits vorhandene Investmentmaterialien werden und neue Inhalte und Narrative entwickeln, darunter Präsentationen, Broschüren, Portfolio-Kommentare und ggf. Artikel.
• Erstellung und Content-Management von Präsentationen zu den Themen Forschung, Portfoliokonstruktion, Portfoliomanagement, Anlageallokation, ESG und anderen Investmentthemen von Dimensional.
• Aufbau einer zuverlässigen Partnerschaft mit dem Sales-Team, um Finanzberatern, Vermögensverwaltern und institutionellen Anlegern langfristig im Rahmen von Investmentkonferenzen und Einzelmeetings unseren Investmentansatz zu vermitteln.

Anforderungen:

• Master-Abschluss (oder Bachelor-Abschluss mit zusätzlicher Qualifikation) in Finanzwesen, Statistik, Wirtschaftswissenschaften, Mathematik oder einem verwandten Bereich.
• Fundierte Erfahrung in der Investment- oder Asset-Management-Branche oder verwandten Bereichen.
• Tiefgehendes Investmentwissen und umfassendes Verständnis von Aktienmärkten. Kenntnisse über Anleihenmärkte sind von Vorteil.
• Grundverständnis der theoretischen und empirischen Forschung zum Thema Asset Pricing.
• Hohe Detailgenauigkeit und sicherer Umgang mit Daten und statistischen Konzepten.
• Ausgezeichnete analytische, zwischenmenschliche, mündliche und schriftliche Kommunikationsfähigkeiten (sowohl in Deutsch als auch in Englisch), um Investmentkonzepte unterschiedlichen Zielgruppen zu vermitteln.
• Nachweislich ausgeprägte Problemlösungsfähigkeiten und Bereitschaft, auf konstruktives Feedback und Hilfestellungen einzugehen und davon zu lernen.
• Erfahrung in der Präsentation technischer Investmentthemen vor externen Stakeholdern.
• Ausgezeichnete Excel- und PowerPoint-Kenntnisse.
• SQL-Kenntnisse sind von Vorteil.
