Position Summary:
The role of the Software Engineering Manager is to hire, lead, grow and manage a team of talented engineers in delivering high-quality software solutions. This role is responsible for overseeing the development lifecycle, from concept to deployment, ensuring that projects meet deadlines, quality standards, and business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, proven leadership abilities, and a passion for mentoring and developing engineering teams. The mission will be to multi-task technical design, code construction, technical team growth, bug resolution and environment support.
This Software Engineering Manager will report directly to JSSI’s global head of development and will lead all aspects of the local Philippine Team. In doing so, this manager will understand all aspects of the JSSI business and translate that understanding into solutions that provide the highest possible value to JSSI and its customers. The manager will also implement all related standards and processes as prescribed by the global head of development.
The mission of the Software Engineering Manager is to is to multi-task technical design, code construction, technical team growth, bug resolution and environment support. The Senior Engineering Manager demonstrates resourcefulness, takes direction, provides direction, and learns new technologies to support the business. The responsibilities of this position include crafting new and maintaining existing web apps interacting with APIs, working with complex datasets, and demonstrating expertise in a variety of programming languages and application development, in a dynamic team environment.
