Position Overview:

As a Finance Manager, you'll be at the heart of our operations, driving financial excellence across accounting, budgeting, auditing, and tax activities. Your insights and expertise will directly influence our financial strategies and contribute to our success in hosting extraordinary events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Master Inventory Control: Design, implement, and oversee inventory systems (HUB purchase order system), ensuring precise monitoring and reporting.

  • Lead Liability Claims: Serve as the primary point of contact for liability claims, collaborating closely with the Director of Security to ensure swift and effective resolution.

  • Event Financial Oversight: Conduct daily batch reviews of event settlements, verifying revenue and labor through reconciliation with the CE daily batch.

  • Insightful Reporting: Prepare bi-monthly month-to-date reports and annual event tracking summaries, providing key statistics to guide financial decisions.

  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data, track budget versus actual expenditures, and offer strategic advice to ensure budget goals are met.

  • Collaborative Meetings: Participate in weekly finance meetings and other relevant gatherings to stay aligned with departmental and organizational goals.

  • Team Leadership: Oversee the Purchasing Manager, ensuring effective staff selection, training, and performance evaluation while fostering professional development.

  • Account Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of monthly ledgers, including receivables, payables, bank accounts, and wage/expense accounts.

  • Support and Backup: Assist team members with billing inquiries, and provide backup for accounts payable and receivable processes as needed.

  • Analytical Guidance: Ensure the financial analyst's work aligns with operational goals, utilizing Microsoft 365 and Momentus tools to enhance analytics and communication.

  • Special Projects: Support the Controller with various special projects, bringing your expertise to diverse financial initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Experience in hospitality or entertainment industries is highly preferred, with a solid understanding of food, beverage, and event-related finances.
  • Proficient in inventory monitoring programs and financial statement preparation.
  • Strong technical skills with computer systems, payroll management, and point-of-sale systems.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Physical/Environmental Demands:

  • Ability to work in an office environment with extended periods of sitting and data entry.

Work Environment:

  • Office-based role with a vibrant, fast-paced atmosphere.

Salary Range:

  • $80,000 - $90,000
