This requisition is for an RTX intern converting to FT hire upon graduation.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, integrate, and verify embedded software for airborne Datalink products.
• Develop software primarily using C/C++ and support associated software design, coding, testing, and debugging activities.
• Generate, analyze, and validate software requirements.
• Perform software verification and functional integration testing.
• Support engineering estimates and bids for new and existing programs.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues in collaboration with software, systems, verification, and other engineering disciplines.
• Interface with airline, airframe, and other external customers to provide technical support and resolve product issues.
• Participate in engineering reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of software development processes.
• Occasional domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Qualifications You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
• Working knowledge of C/C++ software development.
• Experience with software development, integration, verification, or testing.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience developing embedded or real-time software systems.
• Experience designing software using object-oriented design principles.
• Knowledge of aircraft or avionics systems and their functions within the aircraft.
• Experience with avionics software development, software certification, human-machine interfaces, or aircraft operational applications.

• Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
