Job Description
In our agile operating model, crews are aligned to larger products and services fulfilling client needs and encompass multiple autonomous pods. As a global team located in Switzerland, India, Poland, the UK, and the USA, we support and enhance our Risk Platform which is used for monitoring the investment risk of our clients.

Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑performance data pipelines using Azure Databricks.
- Demonstrate deep expertise across core Databricks capabilities, including Unity Catalog, SQL Warehouse, Workflows, and Delta Live Tables (DLT).
- Define and implement effective data‑migration strategies for enterprise workloads.
- Integrate Databricks solutions with a wide range of data sources, including cloud storage platforms, databases, external systems, and APIs.
- Design and develop API capabilities to enable secure data access, integration, and downstream consumption by applications and analytics platforms.
- Apply best practices for data governance, security, compliance, and metadata management.
- Optimize Databricks compute resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analytics teams, demonstrating a basic understanding of data science concepts such as feature engineering, model inputs/outputs, and data preparation for analytics and machine learning workloads.
- Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior engineers and cross‑functional teams.
Primary Skills
- 08- 10 years of professional experience in data engineering.
- Strong programming skills in Python, PySpark, Scala, Java, and SQL.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs and building data services for integration use cases.
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines, data modelling, and modern data‑warehousing principles.
- Basic understanding of data science and machine learning workflows and how engineered datasets support analytical and predictive models.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
Secondary skills
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build partnerships with stakeholders.
- Comfortable with 3 days/ week working from Office (WFO).
- AI experience - if it is relevant and shows interesting/inventive use of GenAI or agentic solutions.

- Keen to hear how they have worked in a complex,
- Established landscape - how do they handle it when there is massive amounts to learn and need to get up to speed fast.
- Describe cases where they have stepped in and taken over testing for an area, in this case a specific region/region.
- Good quality engineering talent who isn't afraid to deal with the scrappy manual process.
- Work hard to learn what's needed and then use engineering to code their way out of the situation.
