Analyst, Customer Operations

Position Summary

Analog Devices Japan is seeking a highly motivated Business Intelligence & Customer Operations Analyst to help drive operational excellence and digital transformation within the Customer Operations organization.

This role goes beyond traditional reporting and data analysis. The successful candidate will leverage business intelligence, data analytics, process automation, and generative AI technologies to support decision-making across Customer Operations, Sales, Supply Chain Management (SCM), and senior leadership while driving meaningful business improvements.

In addition to analytical responsibilities, this role will actively participate in Customer Operations activities, gaining firsthand exposure to customer management, forecast planning, demand-supply balancing, and supply escalation management. This business engagement is critical to developing actionable insights, identifying improvement opportunities, and delivering solutions that create measurable value.

Working closely with Sales, SCM, Finance, and Global teams, you will help accelerate operational efficiency, process standardization, and the adoption of global best practices, contributing directly to organizational productivity and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Data Analytics & Business Intelligence

• Analyze business data, including sales, bookings, backlog, forecasts, inventory, and customer demand trends.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Support KPI tracking and provide analytical insights to facilitate management decision-making.
• Utilize SQL to extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple systems and sources.
• Identify business challenges and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement.
• Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Leverage AI and automation technologies to enhance operational efficiency and productivity.
• Support the deployment and adoption of Global Best Practices and standardized business processes.

Business Partnership & Customer Operations

• Partner closely with Sales, SCM, Finance, and other stakeholders to understand business processes and customer requirements.
• Support Customer Operations activities, including forecast management, supply-demand balancing, and supply escalation management.
• Identify operational pain points and solve business challenges through analytics, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
• Collaborate with Global teams to drive process improvements and global standardization efforts.
• Act as a trusted business partner by providing actionable insights and recommendations that support decision-making across the organization.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience with data extraction and analysis using SQL.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using Power BI or comparable Business Intelligence tools.
• Strong communication skills in both Japanese and English.
• Ability to transform complex data into clear, meaningful insights and visualizations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with low-code automation tools such as Power Automate and Power Apps.
• Experience utilizing Generative AI tools, such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or similar platforms.
• Experience with Python for data analytics or process automation.
• Knowledge of SAP and/or SAP S/4HANA.
• Experience in Customer Operations, Sales Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related functions.
• Semiconductor or electronics industry experience.
• Project management experience.
