About the role:
As a Production/Site Reliability Engineer you’ll help develop new fintech products that will change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This could involve working with bleeding edge technology while coding, implementing, maintaining and supporting software applications.

You will be working with a global team based primarily in the US and India, but also the UK and AUS. You will be responsible for several high availability leveraged applications used by both internal applications as well as external facing APIs.

In this role you will be:

  • Focusing on scalability, high availability, performance, stability and reliability of software applications

  • Managing and triaging incidents utilizing ITIL Incident Management standards and processes

  • You will build automations to simplify operations and processes, collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure positive end user experiences

  • You will apply sound engineering principles, operational discipline and mature automation to our operating environment and codebase

  • Participating in an oncall rotation, covering extra hours in the evening and weekends when scheduled



What you will need:

  • Sound experience working with API gateways and REST

  • Knowledge of modern, end-to-end systems development life cycles.

  • Knowledge of Linux administration and navigation along with data centre experience

  • Experience with SQL and ideally some Java, Python, Shell Scripting and Bash Scripting knowledge

  • To be capable of working independently while also coordinating with product and client teams

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences of various levels in the organization, e.g., executive, management, individual contributors

  • Willingly shares relevant technical and/or industry knowledge and expertise to other resources

  • Excellent problem-solving, team and time management skills

  • Is resourceful and proactive in gathering information and sharing ideas

  • Proficiency in business modeling and requirements definition disciplines

  • A bachelor’s in computer science or information systems or equivalent experience.

Bonus if you Have:

  • Banking sector experience

  • Experience working with API gateways and REST

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $77,100.00 - $125,680.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
