Under the guidance of Mondelēz International’s legal leader or counsel, you deliver on our legal strategy, activities, and service delivery model in a legal specialist and generalist area of focus. You use your ability to work independently, your in-depth knowledge, and significant experience in a specialty area to apply legal knowledge in the practice area and propose legal solutions and alternatives to in-house counsel.

How you will contribute

Under the guidance of Mondelēz International’s legal leader or counsel, you will deliver on our legal strategy, activities, and service delivery model in a legal specialist and generalist area of focus. In this role, you act as the legal adviser and business partner of internal stakeholders of all business units in Indonesia by assisting in assessing/mitigating risks and addressing gaps from a legal perspective. You also provide strategic legal support to the legal business unit, region and global stakeholders and work closely with them to ensure legal concepts and implications are understood and related legal and operational risks are assessed. You will operate systems and technologies relevant to the area of support, prepare documents, gather information, and interact with business partners to deliver objectives and provide expertise and experience in a legal specialty area to identify and advise on laws and regulatory changes for a given country and/or across multiple countries.

• Knowledge and abreast with the latest laws and regulations in Indonesia with the ability to apply them in the consumer goods, distribution, and manufacturing industry.
• Broad experience in managing complex initiatives, projects, and legal matters with proven ability to manage legal risks, handle disputes and provide sound legal advice.
• Excellent and strong problem-solving, project management and planning skills, time management skills, balancing strategic priorities with tactical execution priorities.
• Strong business acumen, possess a proactive and growth mindset, strong professionalism, and openness toward innovation
• Technology and Systems Savvy; ability to operate and manage systems and technologies relevant to particular job including proficient in advanced function of computer applications.
• Uphold integrity and ethical standards/values.

More about this role

Job specific requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of legal professional experience, ideally in a prominent law firm and/or a large matrixed multinational company specifically in FMCG industry, with strong exposures and hands-on experience in the field of corporate, litigation, data protection, intellectual property, employment law.
• Excellent fluency and professional proficiency in both verbal communication and written English and Indonesian are required.
• Proven interpersonal skills: two-way communication skills (verbal and written), ability to build good relationships, ability to influence, work and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and resilience.
• Ability to handle multiple demands, shifting priorities, and critical situations/deadlines.
• Ability to develop diverse positive relationships both internally with various functions and externally.
• Agile, adaptable, and able to thrive in a highly dynamic, fast-paced, and evolving corporate environment.

Education / Certifications:

• Bachelor of Law degree from reputable University in Indonesia.
• Holder of a valid Indonesian Advocate License.
