The Opportunity:

Make a difference; join our team. We have an upcoming opportunity to support the United States Central Command’s Directorate of Intelligence (USCENTCOM J2) with strategic and tactical all-source intelligence analysis support. In this exciting opportunity you will conduct responsive, efficient, and reliable analysis and production to satisfy USCENTCOM’s primary lines of effort (LOEs). This will include analytical requirements focused on counterterrorism, counter insurgency, regional and transregional issues, energy, socio-cultural, and/or assisting with collection methodology. Help assess, interpret, forecast, and explain a range of national security issues and developments that help protect the Department of Defense (DoD) and advance USCENTCOM J2’s priorities in the Middle East.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Military Forces Analyst, you will conduct timely, relevant, in-depth research, analysis, and database Order of Battle/Force Disposition for conventional military forces and Insurgent/Terrorism groups for which USCENTCOM is a responsible producer (RESPROD).

  • Review, evaluate, and edit Modernized Integrated Database (MIDB) records associated with target support requests to ensure that entities are error free.

  • Extract Order of Battle (OOB) information from the MIDB and prepare tailored intelligence reports.

  • Review, coordinate and complete SDIAPP requests.

  • Develop training materials and conduct on-the-job training (OJT) for personnel, as required.

  • Provide recommended input to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Manuals/Instructions and component command policies, and standard operating procedures (SOP’s), as required.

  • Submit collection requests and source directed requirements (SDR’s).

  • Complete source evaluations to support OOB databases.

  • Respond to requests for information (RFI’s) and prepare and present briefings, as required.

  • Conduct analysis on regional and functional topics, including military capabilities, defense issues, and provide support to targeting, collections, and plans, as required. 

  • Provide analytic support to senior officials, collectors, and operators throughout the DoD, IC, and federal law enforcement agencies/organizations in support of USCENTCOM J2’s programs, functions, and mission activities. 

  • Conduct daily research of raw intelligence to identify potential threats to DoD personnel, activities, and interests in the region. 

  • Identify emerging threats, trends, and patterns and nominate strategic production when appropriate. 

  • Present formal and informal briefings to support USCENTCOM J2’s priorities and be able to defend analytic results to a variety of audiences in support of their mission readiness requirements. 

  • Identify intelligence gaps, leverage, and help create collection requirements to fill those information gaps, evaluate intelligence reporting, and identify collection opportunities through collector engagement. 

  • Integrate as part of an analytical team, collaborate, and conduct coordination with theater and national-level IC partners. 

  • Have the opportunity to support advanced analytics initiatives, knowledge management projects, and both lead and support projects, that satisfy national-level intelligence priorities. 

Qualifications:

Required:

  • TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly required.

  • Specialized training and 5 years’ experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.

  • Demonstrated ability to integrate as part of an analytical team, collaborate, and conduct coordination with national-level IC partners.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with senior military and civilian government officials, managers, and co-workers.

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • ODNI’s Intelligence Fundamentals Professional Qualification (IFPC) 

  • PACE  

  • Knowledge of USCENTCOM and DIA product lines 

  • All-Source Intelligence Analysis experience focused on the USCENTCOM AOR

  • Deployment experience in the USCENTCOM AOR.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$59,100 - $124,100
