As a Clinical Engineering (CE) Imaging Technician II, you will independently diagnose, repair, calibrate and perform preventive maintenance on ultrasound equipment, portable/fixed x-ray rooms and mammography equipment while supporting assigned systems with minimal vendor support  


A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday, 8:00am—5:00pm. 


A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Analyze system failures of medical imaging systems and perform repairs in accordance with manufacturer protocol within time standards set by service level agreements. 

  • Perform preventive maintenance on complex medical systems and develop preventive maintenance procedures based on site specific requirements incorporating usage and other performance metrics. 

  • Perform incoming inspections of new equipment and complete documentation for CMMS database. 

  • Act as an enterprise resource providing technical expertise on the assigned imaging equipment. 

  • Provide on-the-job cross training to fellow technicians for devices they are trained on. 


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Associate's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering Technology. 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Four years of experience working with X-ray generating equipment, interventional radiology, portable/fixed X-Ray rooms, mammography, Linear Accelerators, CT scanners, MRI machines, Nuclear Medical imaging equipment, or other similar complex medical systems. 

  • Successful completion of a radiological service training program from an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) or Radiological Service Institute Training (RSTI) equivalent certification.
