About the Role

Under the guidance of the Manager, Team Leader and Consultant Psychiatrist, and in conjunction with Wellways staff and St Vincent’s treating teams, you will provide a high standard of clinical support, and recovery planning for consumers referred for a PARC admission.  

In addition, you will have a role to play in the development and maintenance of effective relationships with a range of other service providers, both internal and external to St Vincent’s Hospital is central to the role. There is also a leadership and operational role to play.

  • Manage referrals
  • Provide leadership and support to junior staff and provide 1:1 clinical support for consumers
  • Support people to sustain existing resources, assets, networks and relationships and access new opportunities, resources and services to achieve their recovery goals
  • Take a leadership role in providing a range of direct clinical mental health assessments and interventions for consumers and carers

Classifications for this position will range from

  • OT/SW Grade 3 YB24 - YB27 or YC46 - YC49 ($101,597 - $116,074 per annum pro rata)
  • Psychologist Grade 3 PL1 – PL4 ($106,158 - $121,477 per annum pro rata)

  • RPN Grade 4 NP75 - NP77 ($112,465 - $121,113 per annum pro rata)



Your Contribution

  • Degree (minimum) in Nursing which meets the registration requirements of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, Division 1 or 3.
  • Masters Degree or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology recognized by the Australian Psychological Society and registered as a Psychologist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Bachelor of Social Work (B.SW). Eligible for membership of the Australian Association of Social Work Bachelor of Occupational Therapy.  Eligible for membership of Australian Association of Occupational Therapy and registered as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
  • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About North Fitzroy PARC

The Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) provides short term sub-acute intensive residential services with a recovery focus, to consumers who require additional support early in relapse or following an acute in patient admission. The service is run in partnership with Wellways Australia.

The service operates under the principles of recovery orientated practice, utilizing the strengths model.

The team is creative, imaginative and committed to supporting consumers to realize their recovery goals and move forward in their lives. The team is supportive, warm and friendly and we pride ourselves on this.
