What You Will Do:

Guidehouse is seeking a Data Analyst to join our Defense and Security Segment, where the individual will collect and analyze health data to identify trends, develop visualizations in support of organizational and mission goals, and support decision-making for large-scale programs within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading design and development of data visualization and dashboard solutions to provide required analytics insights using tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and/or Qlik

  • Leading and reviewing, data cleaning scripts using tools such as R, Python, SQL, and Tableau Prep

  • Identifying and creating additional data visualization capabilities, as needed

  • Ensuring data governance and quality assurance standards are met

  • Performing advanced analytics on diverse disparate data to identify trends and advise senior leadership on policy and procedure

  • Analyzing current process and identifying potential improvements

  • Working with team members to summarize and report on business process improvements to include gaps in current processes and initiatives to improve processes for an organization

  • Organizing and leading client meetings, including scheduling meetings; drafting and delivering agendas and meeting minutes; providing and archiving required documentation; and documenting, tracking, and following-up on action items

  • Summarizing and presenting information and reports to the team and make recommendations (both oral and written).



What You Will Need:

  • Ability to OBTAIN and MAINTAIN a Federal or DoD Public Trust

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • THREE (3) or more years of experience in data analytics or programming-related experience


What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Power Platform Experience

  • Law enforcement experience

  • Experience leading teams focused on developing analytic solutions

  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.

  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail

  • Experience developing new and re-designing existing processes to meet new and/or evolving business requirements

  • Ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks

  • Capability to manage multi-task projects

  • Experience analyzing and defining system requirements

  • Ability to facilitate meetings and present topics to diverse groups of functional and technical staff

  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction

  • Ability to anticipate and respond to management and client needs

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff within an organization

  • Statistical expertise

  • Knowledge in geospatial and social network analysis

  • Experience working with health related data

  • Proficiency using Python for data cleansing.

  • Experience with ServiceNow, SharePoint, and UiPath

The annual salary range for this position is $94,900.00-$142,300.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
