Department Overview

Business Accounting and Compliance
Reporting is a function within the MSI Finance Operations Center in Penang. MSI Finance Operations Centre is recognized as trusted partner to customers,
suppliers and employees providing excellent service and quality support. Our
department supports wide range of Motorola Solutions businesses and operations finance functions across APAC. We are responsible on all related business accounting and compliance reporting and making sure we provide great level of support to our business partners within APCA in all finance areas.


Job Description

  • Manages monthly APAC closing activities and preparing related journal entries  and reconciliations.

  • Be the first point of contact for supporting end-to-end accounting activities within APAC countries.

  • Prepares monthly financial reports for stakeholders and analyze business performance on a regular basis.

  • Liaising with internal/external auditors and external consultants for various audit and compliance process.

  • Provides financial information and reports for regional operational and business review on a quarterly basis.

  • Manages potential risks in all areas of accounting and compliance and act as a trusted business advisors to the business.

  • Continuous improvement in all related areas including financial andcompliance processes.

  • Support ad-hoc assignments related to all areas of accounting.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance with minimum of 2-4 years working experience.

  • Proficient in advanced Excel, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and data analysis

  • Knowledge of project accounting is a plus

  • Passionate in bringing transformation to the accounting activities and drive continuous process improvements in all related areas.

  • Must be a self-starter who is able to work independently and interface with all relevant internal teams and external business partners at all times.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact clearly across all level of organization.

  • Strong analytical, comprehension and problem solving skills, as well as 
    strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to conceptualize.

  • Diligent, attention to detail, ability to manage time and work flow, work on 
    multiple assignments and manage rapidly changing assignments in a team environment.
