Role Definition
- Drive continuous sales growth through strategic partner engagement. Manages day-to-day operations of a sales team that works with select clients or client groups to achieve business goals and ensure effective resolution of all issues raised by the client.
Responsibilities
- Identifying and analyzing organization's strengths and weaknesses, and responding to opportunities in sales environment.
- Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of staff engaged in promoting and selling a product; ensuring that customers receive a high level of service before and after business closing.
- Supervising the business development processes to ensure compliance with the organization's policies, procedures, and regulations.
Skill Required
- Customer Focus: Knowledge of the values and practices that align customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in all business decisions and ability to leverage that information in creating customized customer solutions.
- Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the organization's industry group, trends, directions, major issues, regulatory considerations, and trendsetters; ability to apply industry knowledge appropriately to diverse situations.
- Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Knowledge of the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

- Negotiating: Knowledge of successful negotiation concepts and techniques; ability to negotiate successfully across the organization and with external vendors and clients in a constructive and collaborative manner.
- Relationship Management: Knowledge of relationship management techniques; ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
- Account Management: Knowledge of account management; ability to manage day-to-day activities, providing services and support to existing clients.
- Value Selling: Knowledge of the principles and practices for selling products, technology and services; ability to provide overall product/service 'value' and to differentiate support offerings that address clearly understood customer needs.
Consideration for Top Candidates:
- Property and Casualty (P&C) License: The candidate should hold a valid P&C license, demonstrating their expertise in handling property and casualty insurance products. This qualification ensures they are well-versed in industry regulations, underwriting processes, and risk assessment.
- Strong Background in the Insurance Industry: The candidate should have a solid foundation in the insurance sector, with extensive experience in various aspects of insurance operations. This includes knowledge of policy administration, claims management, and customer service, enabling them to navigate the complexities of the industry effectively.
- Previous Experience in Field Sales: The candidate should have a proven track record in field sales, showcasing their ability to drive sales and achieve targets. Experience in field sales indicates their proficiency in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, conducting client meetings, and closing deals.
- Excellent Communicator and Relationship Builder: The candidate should possess exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex insurance concepts clearly and effectively. They should be adept at building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Strategic Commercial Mindset: Bring a proven track record of strategic thinking and commercial acumen, capable of developing and implementing strategies that drive business success and deliver value to customers. They will understand market dynamics, customer needs, and the competitive landscape, balancing short-term goals with long-term vision to ensure sustainable growth and profitability.
This position is currently a hybrid in-office work model, requiring 3-day weekly office presence onsite at our Nashville Main office and remote work for the remaining days. However, work arrangements may be adjusted at any time based on business needs.
Position will require travel of up to 50%.
