P2P Operations - Junior Buyer

Huntsman is seeking a P2P Operations - Junior Buyer supporting the GBS Division located in Costa Rica. This position will report to the Procurement Operations Manager.

Job Scope

The P2P Operations - Junior Buyer role is responsible for providing operational procurement support across multiple purchasing areas. This position ensures accurate execution of purchasing activities, maintains procurement data integrity, supports compliance with internal policies, and collaborates closely with stakeholders to enable efficient procurement operations aligned with Huntsman’s strategic sourcing objectives.

In summary, as the P2P Operations - Junior Buyer, you will:

• Monitor procurement systems by reviewing integration points, resolving errors, placing purchase orders, and processing invoice disputes in a compliant manner.

• Manage and maintain purchasing data, including pricing, order profiles, supplier information, and purchase orders aligned with strategic sourcing expectations.

• Act as the daily operational point of contact between procurement, manufacturing sites, and administrative departments.

• Collaborate with commercial purchasing teams and key stakeholders to support ongoing procurement activities.

• Identify process improvement opportunities to drive automation, streamline processes, and improve operational efficiency.

• Provide timely status updates to internal stakeholders regarding purchased goods and services, following information management standards.

• Ensure compliance with organizational policies related to environment, health, and security standards.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in Costa Rica.

Candidates must be willing to work on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at our office located in AFZ, Heredia. Additional office days may be required as needed or during corporate visits.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 0 years of experience required.

• Basic understanding of the purchasing and procurement process.

• English proficiency at B2 level.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to procurement systems or ERP tools.

• Experience supporting indirect procurement operations.

• Interest in automation, process optimization, or data-driven decision-making.
