What can we do together?

HP is seeking a skilled Ramp Up Engineer to join the Industrial Print Customer Success (IPCS) team in France.

This role is essential for supporting our customers in the critical ramp-up phase following the installation of HP Indigo presses. The Ramp Up Engineer will leverage advanced technical expertise to ensure smooth production starts, address complex technical issues, and provide hands-on support for customer operators.

You will work across technology areas, collaborating internally and externally to resolve incidents, manage customer expectations, and contribute to strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ramp-up process for new HP Indigo press installations, providing hands-on technical support to operators during their first weeks of production.

  • Utilize advanced technical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to industrial press performance, collaborating with internal teams to address cross-technology incidents.

  • Apply HP’s solutions to meet intricate customer requirements, designing and implementing specialized support solutions to ensure operational success.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with customer operators and senior-level contacts, ensuring effective communication and expectation management throughout the ramp-up phase.

  • Identify opportunities for additional services that may enhance future customer success and support business growth, offering technical consultation during contract renewals.

  • Proactively manage customer issues, escalating and resolving them promptly to maintain high customer satisfaction.

  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects, contributing to the development of operational and strategic plans that improve service delivery.

  • Act as a mentor to junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing within the organization.

Who you are?

  • Degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent technical experience.

  • 4-7 years of experience in technical support, field service, or customer success roles, preferably within the industrial print sector.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex technical issues independently, with proficiency in troubleshooting HP Indigo presses or similar equipment.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, capable of working effectively with both operators and senior management.

  • Proficiency in French and English (spoken and written) is required.

  • Willingness to travel across France to customer sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with HP Indigo press systems and technologies is highly desirable.

  • ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL practices for incident management is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of safety standards, preventive maintenance, and process improvement in production environments.
