We’re seeking an enthusiastic Product Manager to join our K-5 Literacy Assessment and Intervention team. The role reports to the Executive Director of Product Management, and is focused on leading product development for the reporting suite as part of our Assessment and Intervention programs. Our product managers work with Amplify leadership and other colleagues across Design, Engineering, Customer Success, Customer Support, Sales, Marketing and Implementation to realize our vision and build and execute against the product roadmap. We are passionate about building the best possible experience for students, teachers and administrators.
*This is a contract position.
Product Development – Serve as a key member and collaborative leader of your cross-functional agile team to plan, develop, and deliver working software. Actively participate in your team’s sprint ceremonies and be readily available to address questions, concerns and blockers. Partner with design to ensure regular coordination and design QA of features throughout the sprint.
Product Design – Collaborate with key partners on design and engineering teams to execute on goals and solution initiatives. Work with teammates to propose solutions and build out initiatives to overcome challenges. Participate in human-centered design workshops. Make informed decisions by analyzing data from product metrics / user behavior and prototyping results.
Team Leadership – Communicate product goals and objectives regularly to your team to motivate and empower them. Own your roadmap and backlog. Prioritize and manage your backlog, break down features into deliverables, and elaborate on them with your team.
Product Deployment – Draft internal communications, release notes and training materials for the launch of new product features. Review customer-facing information before it is released. Support troubleshooting.
User Empathy – Be a passionate advocate for our customers and end-users and empathize with their needs. Represent their perspectives through all phases of product development. Become an expert in our customer feedback, drawing insights from data points and sharing them with the product team to aid product strategy. Explore usage data for insights into how our product is used in schools.
Product Strategy – Work with stakeholders and product management team to develop product strategy based on customer needs and a deep understanding of the market and competitive landscape.
Product Management – Work collaboratively with customer facing teams to manage and execute on custom data requests, including interfacing with customers directly to set expectations on deliverables and delivery timeline.
Bachelor’s degree
3+ years of experience in product management
Demonstrated success as a Product Owner on a product development team
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to break down complex technical requirements into simple terms and consumer-friendly language
Experience with data systems integration
Experience with data visualization and data queries
Familiarity with Agile SCRUM software development methodology
Professional work experience in education and/or education technology
Client service experience in consulting or another field
Compensation:
The hourly rate range for this role is $55 - $60.
