THE ROLE
The Senior Program Manager will work closely with the Alignment Platform Senior Director in the promotion, execution and integration of strategic planning and prioritization; development of standards for effective coordination and evolving our framework to measure progress.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Foster consistent frameworks aligning with business and agile planning, including tools, templates, metrics, KPI’s to shepherd momentum and measure progress. Working with GTIO and other teams connect the measurement and planning to enterprise tools. Maintain and work with teams to evolve the framework and toolsets.

  • Coordinate and collaborate of cross design team themes, creating integrated blueprint and plans that showcase risks and gaps to execution. Working closely with the Design Team Program Leads to ensure that interdependencies are identified and managed.

  • Create project plans as needed to leverage MFS' enterprise-wide tools.

  • Implement and maintain strategic program structure in AHA.

  • Maintaining forward calendar and activities for PC, SLF, Design Team Connectivity and Program Leads, to facilitate and create transparency into the strategic initiatives across the firm.

  • Creation and support for materials needed for the Alignment Platform.

  • Maintain a centralized repository of Alignment-related documentation, trade off discussions and decisions, including project plans, meeting minutes, and other relevant materials. Support the Alignment platform in capturing lessons learned, best practices, and success stories to promote knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

  • Plan and execute on planning offsites with PC and other teams as needed.

  • Organize and help move teams through the onboarding process for any outside consultant support as needed.

  • Facilitate business planning through key events such as annual budgeting cycle.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required. Master's degree preferred.

  • 8-12+ years of related project/program management experience within the asset management or financial services industry.

  • Proven track record of successful project/program delivery and implementation.  Extensive experience in project management methodologies and tools.

  • Demonstrated experience designing and implementing new capabilities through large scale, cross-divisional programs. 

  • Strong leadership: leading matrixed teams to deliver on program outcomes. Must be comfortable coaching project managers and scrum masters in an agile environment.

  • Understand and appreciates the data environment and its complexities.

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities; willing to proactively seeks ways to resolve issues when faced with limitations.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work across the organization and interact/influence/negotiate effectively at all levels of management.
