Take the lead in developing and executing targeted customer plans for bulk gases at our key customers with a primary focus on creating and maintaining value for our customers and meeting Airgas financial targets.
Prioritize your new business development efforts with those customers that can most benefit from our robust supply chain and value differentiated offerings with the ALTEC Engineering and Advanced Fabrication teams.
Create compelling customer proposals, showcasing strong financial metrics to meet and exceed internal success criteria and fully demonstrate Airgas’ value proposition for our customers.
Understand, manage and negotiate complex, multi-year contracts for the supply of gas and services for our customers.
Utilize your extensive knowledge of bulk gases to effectively promote and position all Airgas products.
Partners with internal resources to accomplish growth objectives. Establishes and maintains clear and consistent lines of communication with internal departments relative to customer successes, customer opportunities, new customer developments and other customer specific information.
Collaborate closely with ALTEC technical teams for gas application opportunities, as well as district teams, identifying cross-selling opportunities and strategizing for overall growth.
Keeps current with industry insights, current Airgas product mixes, monitors competition by gathering current relevant marketplace including information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, and merchandising techniques.
Special projects and duties may be required.
A Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years of prior successful technical solution driven sales.
A proven track record of successfully managing complex customer relationships while generating new business and achieving profitable sales growth.
Demonstrated relationship management & consultative aptitude with the ability to problem-solve and devise technical solutions for the customer.
Demonstrated knowledge of industry standards (NFPA, CGA) and a conceptual understanding of industrial and medical gas equipment, production, and distribution.
Ability to build effective relationships with all levels and roles both within Airgas and outside the organization.
Communication skills, a self-starter mentality, and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
Experience with Google applications, SFDC and Microsoft Office tools.
The ability to travel within the assigned territory.
