This position reports to:

Business Manager - E2E

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of Research and Development (R&D) employees and support them in achieving the agreed R&D targets. Each day, you will coach and develop the team. You will also showcase your expertise by helping in managing technologies, platforms, and Intellectual Property.

The work model for the role is: onsite

This role is contributing to the Traction Division in China.

You will be mainly accountable for:

Serving as a technical resource for the team and providing technical support for internal and external contacts.
Planning and ensuring an appropriate project portfolio for the team.
Contributing to technical bodies relevant to ABB R&D, inside and outside the company.
Developing and acquiring competencies that will be needed for the development of future products and systems.

Qualifications for the role

You are immersed in / engaged in / absorbed in / highly skilled in/ you enjoy working with motors design software and simulation tools and the industrial motors market
Ability to demonstrate your experience in / Have established skills / advanced skills / You have 10+ years of experience in motors design and development
Possess an enhanced knowledge of / You are qualified in / Highly adept in Solidworks, CAD, Ansys
You are passionate about / you are captivated by / you are innovative around PM motors technology and new motors technology development
Degree in / Have a demonstrated track record in / Extensive knowledge of / Proven experience of motors development for industrial purpose in traction applications
You are at ease communicating in Chinese and English
You hold current insert required licenses valid in insert job location and insert country-specific VISA/work permit where required
