ADI is looking to build on its leadership in Industrial Ethernet with highly skilled individuals who able to bring with them their experience and creativity.

The candidate for this role, will act as a systems expert for Analog Devices ethernet switch and PHY products as well as industrial protocols.  Utilizing their domain expertise, they will help define our solution (hardware and software) roadmaps.  This involves working with a broad range of customers, product development and marketing teams to identify key opportunities, position the best solutions tailored to customer needs and guide our product development roadmaps to grow Analog Devices market share.  This position location is flexible, with global travel required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Serve as a systems expert for cross functional global teams around Industrial ethernet hardware and software architectures
  • Engage in opportunity discovery conversations in conjunction with global sales, marketing and engineering teams
  • Identifying new product or software concepts to drive revenue growth around ethernet enabled systems
  • Driving concepts through completion and business case validations
  • Assisting customers, applications, sales and marketing in troubleshooting customer system and protocol level issues
  • Develop/maintain relationships with key customers, product teams, and field resources  
  • Assist cross functional stake holders by coordinating technical resources required to implement system solution proposals including Analog Devices broad range of hardware and software IP
  • Develop and provide training to customers and colleagues on Analog Devices’ Ethernet solutions and products
  • Collaborate with Product Development and Solutions teams to ensure that customer focused insights and feedback are accurately reflected in new product definitions and roadmaps
  •  Understand and disseminate customers' system needs versus wants

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BSEE or equivalent
  • 7-15 years experience in product, design, applications engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in evaluation, debugging, and testing hardware and software systems

  • Experience with system architectures and an understanding of core components used in design of embedded systems (Microcontrollers, Power, Communications, Analog).
  • Experience with major industrial protocols and standards including Ethernet/IP, ProfiNET, ETherCAT, ModbusTCP, BACnet/IP, TSN
  • Strong collaborative mindset with an ability to work in a cross-functional environment while demonstrating delivered value to disparate internal & external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a team that interfaces with a wide variety of functions at once, from Sales to Engineering to Marketing
  • Skilled communicator with a proven track record in aggregating information and proliferating it to various stakeholders that range from subject matter experts to novices
  • Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize/multi-task several concurrent projects
  • Ability to coach/teach/help others with design issues
  • Excellent technical communication skills (i.e., writing, presentations, listening, phone calls)
  • An avid learner who approaches challenges with curiosity and resilience, seeking data to help build understanding
  • Ability to travel ~20% of yearly work days
