Position Summary

Someone to join our team in this hourly-paid administrative/clerical supply chain role who will participate in the production scheduling process. This is a hands-on onsite hourly position responsible for coordinating manufacturing production schedules. Collaboration with other members of the supply chain, customer support and the manufacturing team is critical to achieve these sales and service objectives.

Position Responsibilities

  • Create work orders and schedule workflow for each department and operation according to previously established production sequences and lead times.

  • Schedule identical processes to minimize duplicate setups.

  • Monitor materials inventories, coordinate, and expedite the placement of purchase orders and/or delivery of material. Ensure raw materials are available as schedules are created.

  • Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work.

  • Compile production reports concerning progress of work to apprise planning personnel of changes.

  • Expedite operations that delay shipping schedules and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.

  • Ensure that runs are prioritized for on time delivery.

  • Distribute work orders denoting number, type and proposed completion date.

  • Assist Demand Planner with planning system maintenance and alerts management of discrepancies.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

  • 1 year, or better, of prior experience in a manufacturing environment (including 6 months of internal or external customer service). Insights gained from your hands-on production work are especially valued.

  • The ability to handle several tasks with competing priorities and still meet deadlines.

  • Demonstrated computer skills using Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills.

  • Critical thinking skills.

  • At least 6-12 months of verifiable SAP experience.

Education and Certification

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Associate’s and/or Bachelor's degree strongly encouraged.

Compensation Range for the Position:

$22.42 - $28.59 - $34.75 USD

Target Cash Profit Sharing for the Position:

5.00%

Offer amount determined by experience and review of internal talent.
