Role and Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end recruitment for technical roles within the GPU R&D division, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and closing candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and organizational needs to develop customized recruitment strategies for highly specialized roles
- Execute executive recruitment for SARC, including identifying, assessing, and recruiting top talent for senior leadership positions, such as Director of Engineering, Technical Fellows, and other key technical leadership roles.
- Utilize advanced sourcing techniques (e.g., Boolean search, LinkedIn, technical forums, industry conferences) to identify passive candidates and build a pipeline for critical roles, including engineers, researchers, and scientists with expertise in GPU development, semiconductor technologies, machine learning, AI, and related fields.
- Foster strong relationships with top talent, providing them with an exceptional candidate experience. Engage in consultative conversations with candidates to understand their motivations, skill sets, and career goals to align them with opportunities within Samsung GPU R&D.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers, team leads, and technical experts to create accurate role descriptions, set expectations, and streamline the hiring process. Provide guidance on industry trends, compensation benchmarking, and talent market insights.
- Monitor and report on recruitment metrics. Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and implement best practices.
- Work closely with the branding and marketing teams to elevate Samsung's reputation as an employer of choice for technical talent in the GPU and semiconductor sectors.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of technical recruiting experience, with at least 5 years of executive recruitment experience in the semiconductor, GPU, or high-tech industry, preferably supporting R&D functions.
- Proven track record of successfully recruiting senior technical talent, including executives and leaders, in a fast-paced, competitive market.
- Experience with international recruitment and working in global markets.
- Understanding of GPU-specific technologies and trends, with an ability to effectively assess technical talent.
- Experience in hiring for highly specialized roles in GPU research, AI, or semiconductor engineering.
- Strong understanding of GPU architecture, semiconductor technologies, machine learning, AI, and software development.
- Experience recruiting for technical roles such as GPU engineers, hardware/software developers, data scientists, and research scientists.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Recruitment Expertise: Proven track record of successfully recruiting senior technical talent in a fast-paced, competitive market.
- Expertise in using recruiting tools and platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, GitHub, Findem, etc.) and familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to manage complex offer negotiations and closing strategies.
Total Rewards
At Samsung – SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is
determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $142,900 and $252,700. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).

In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance. Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
