Job Summary

We are seeking a Manager, Project Management to lead, develop, and mature a centralized Project Management Office (PMO) within our IT and Security organization. This leader will be responsible for developing a high performing team of project managers, while also creating and implementing scalable project management frameworks, governance standards, and best practices to ensure consistent, high quality project delivery. This manager will also oversee the project management team's operational budget, including headcount planning, professional development investments, and tooling requirements to support scalable project delivery. The ideal candidate will bring both operational leadership and strategic vision to establish project management as a key enabler of IT and Security success. This role will play a critical part in driving project management maturity, improving execution discipline, and fostering cross functional alignment with stakeholders across the business.

Essential Functions
  • Build, manage, and develop a centralized team of project managers supporting IT and Security initiatives.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and career development for project management staff.
  • Establish a collaborative team culture with a focus on accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage the Global IT Project Management’s operational budget, including headcount planning, professional development opportunities, and selection of project management tooling and system needs
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve project management frameworks, methodologies, templates, and best practices for IT and Security.
  • Develop maturity models, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to assess and improve project management effectiveness over time.
  • Standardize project intake, prioritization, resource planning, risk management, and status reporting processes.
  • Support accurate portfolio-level budget forecasting and financial reporting in partnership with finance and project sponsors
  • Oversee the successful planning, execution, and delivery of IT and Security projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and adherence to to approved project budgets
  • Serve as an escalation point for complex projects, resource conflicts, and project risks.
  • Partner with IT, Security, and Business leadership to ensure project alignment, transparency, and timely decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization to drive engagement, ensure project alignment, and foster trust.
  • Communicate project portfolio status, risks, and outcomes effectively to senior leadership.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Business, Project Management, or related field or related experience. required
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in project management required
  • 2 years of experience in a leadership or management role. required
  • Proven success building or maturing project management functions in IT, Security, or similar technical environments. required
  • Experience managing project portfolios, including prioritization, resource management, and executive reporting. required
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification. preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high performing teams with a focus on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, tools, and methodologies including Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid approaches
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects across diverse functional areas in a global environment, balancing priorities, resources, and risk
  • Proven experience in creating, implementing, and maturing project management frameworks, governance structures, and standard operating procedures
  • Excellent ability to engage, influence, and build trust with diverse stakeholders including IT, Security, and Business leadership
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear project updates, executive summaries, and portfolio level reporting
  • Skilled at identifying roadblocks, managing risks, and driving timely, data informed decisions
  • Experience guiding teams and stakeholders through process, organizational, and cultural change related to project management maturity
  • Comfort working in IT and Security environments, with a basic understanding of technical concepts and the ability to facilitate communication between technical and non technical teams
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Smartsheet or equivalent portfolio management systems
