Santander Corporate & Investment Banking (SCIB) is Santander's global division that supports some of the world's most complex and sophisticated corporate and institutional clients, offering customised services and value-added wholesale products to best meet their needs.

In this challenging role, you’ll be supporting the Global Debt Financing business in the execution, maintenance and monitoring of Project & Acquisition Finance, focussing on the energy sector.

If you’ve performed a similar role previously, this could be the perfect opportunity to develop your career.

The difference you’ll make:

  • Supporting Front Office teams in the structuring of new transactions and ongoing management of the existing portfolio

  • Reviewing documentation and approvals from Risk, Legal, Capital, and other relevant areas prior to the signing of new or amended deals

  • Reporting to Back Office to ensure accurate system registration of deal terms and any subsequent amendments

  • Managing and processing operational requests during the life of the deals (e.g. disbursements, waivers, and contract modifications)

  • Preparing detailed financial analysis and reports to monitor credit risk and the performance of assets in operation, with focus on renewable projects’ cash flow generation, production forecasts, availability factors, financial covenants, and capital consumption

  • Coordinating and reporting with the relevant internal stakeholders — particularly Front Office and Risk — to ensure consistent control and alignment across functions

What you’ll bring:

These are the essential requirements you need to be successful in this role:

  • Proven ability to interpret and challenge complex renewable project finance structures, including sensitivity analysis of PPA terms, production curves, and O&M assumptions

  • Deep understanding of renewable project finance and documentation

  • Proven ability to coordinate effectively with multidisciplinary teams across functions and geographies

  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent) in a relevant subject such as Engineering, Finance, or Mathematics

  • Excellent technical and financial modelling skills

What else you need to know:

This role is based at our offices in Triton Square, London located within easy walking distance from Warren Street and Euston.

We want our people to thrive at work and home, and also be able to deliver the best outcomes for our customers and to help each other develop. To support this, we offer site-based contracts with a hybrid working pattern and our expected level of attendance in an office is at least 3 days a week (pro-rata for part-time roles).
