About the team and the role:
The Trust team helps ensure eBay remains a safe, clear, and credible marketplace for buyers and sellers around the world. The team builds and maintains policies, tools, and experiences that protect customers and strengthen confidence across the platform, including seller performance, feedback, buyer protection, and post-purchase processes.
In this role, you will partner closely with Product Management, Analytics, Engineering, Product Development, and Customer Support to find opportunities, build solutions, and guide go-to-market efforts that emphasize customer value and trust. The role focuses on insight, alignment, and influence, with impact across multiple Trust programs and global partners.
What you will accomplish:
Measure and monitor Trust performance across assigned programs, translating metrics into clear insights, opportunities, and risks that inform portfolio decisions
Develop analysis, reporting, dashboards, and tools alongside Analytics and Product teams to track progress and guide action
Use quantitative and qualitative insights to recommend improvements that strengthen trust for buyers and sellers
Collaborate with UXR, Design, Content, and Product teams to develop and implement changes across Trust journeys
Guide go-to-market alignment by ensuring policy and product updates are communicated clearly and consistently across customer touchpoints
Build and deliver data-driven recommendations and presentations that influence senior and cross-functional leaders on priorities, resourcing, and direction
What you will bring:
3–5 years of relevant experience in trust and safety, strategy and operations, strategic program management, product management, or a related field
A customer-first approach, with a clear understanding of what builds or erodes trust for both buyers and sellers on commerce platforms
Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, including the ability to define important metrics, link data to user behavior, and drive measurable outcomes (SQL experience is a plus)
Proven ability to collaborate across functions, working effectively with Product, Legal, Analytics, and regional partners to align on shared outcomes
An end-to-end ownership approach, from identifying opportunities through measuring impact after launch, and iterating on improvements
Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain policies, decisions, insights, and progress to a variety of stakeholders
