The Actuarial Senior Supervisor is an individual contributor responsible for new business financial reporting, planning, and strategic analysis, with a focus on delivering insights on profitability, value creation, and risk to senior management. Less qualified candidates may be considered for the Actuarial Supervisor role.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Financial reporting
    • Lead reporting and analysis of New Business Contractual Service Margin (NB CSM).
    • Provide seasonal support for New Business Embedded Value (NBV) production, reporting, and analysis.
    • Analyze trends and key drivers across new business metrics.
    • Identify, quantify, and communicate key risks and opportunities.
    • Prepare materials for management and executive presentations.
  • New business planning
    • Develop and maintain New Business Plan AXIS models in collaboration with the Pricing team.
    • Produce and analyze key local and IFRS new business and capital metrics (e.g., NBV, NBCSM, PVFP, LROC, CPY).
    • Prepare materials to support senior management discussions on product strategy, profitability, and risk management.
    • Act as a key contact for the Asia Product Risk Management team.
  • Strategic Analysis & Collaboration
    • Partner across teams to generate insights, identify trends, and highlight risks supporting business growth.
    • Collaborate across actuarial teams to assess impacts of new business metrics on earnings, capital, and expenses.
    • Work cross-functionally with Finance (Controllers), Product, and Distribution teams on drivers of expenses, product strategy, and value optimization.
    • Engage with and present to senior management on key initiatives and findings.
    • Participate in discussions that shape product direction, distribution strategy, and overall business performance.

Required Qualifications:

  • University degree- Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science preferred. 4+ years of Actuarial related experience (including Liability Modeling, Pricing, Valuation reporting, Plan, etc.)
  • Strong communicator in English and Filipino with developing ability to communicate complex technical concepts in an easier to understand manner.
  • In good progress towards Associateship of any internationally recognized actuarial society (AASP, ASA, ACIA).
  • Developing business acumen, and pragmatic approach to solving problems and implementing solutions.
