In this role you will be part of a fast-paced team focusing on Cyber Security Operations in Micron’s IT Infrastructure & Operations. 

Responsibilities and Tasks: 

This role will focus on various security technologies within IT Operations and Engineering, some of the key areas of responsibility include: 

  • Enhance security technical controls deployed for a worldwide enterprise 
  • Operate and maintain threat environment including installation, configuration, tuning, and maintenance of endpoint components such as SIEM, XOAR etc. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders gather security product requirements and drive POCs 
  • Identify and document business cases, requirements, and solutions. 
  • Upgrade in-scope security infrastructure to maintain current versions 
  • Keep patches up to date on in-scope security infrastructure such as SIEM, SOAR etc 
  • Standard escalation to senior staff 
  • Identify trends and drive requirements aimed at improving and enhancing existing data loss prevention detection policies. 
  • Engineers, configures, deploys, and maintains  
  • Develops advanced alerts/reports to meet the requirements of key stakeholders 
  • Creates rules/signatures to mitigate threats and implements best practices 
  • Upgrade in-scope security infrastructure to maintain current versions 
  • Keep patches up to date on in-scope security infrastructure 
  • Standard escalation to senior staff 
  • Resolve daily incident requests and resolution 
  • Maintain an audit review process for policy exceptions 
  • Fulfill daily service requests and resolution 
  • Participation in root cause analysis with senior level engineers 
  • Troubleshooting with end users 
  • On call duties to quickly respond to and remediate P1 and P2 incidents 
  • Response and participation on Critical incidents as part of an Emergency Response Team (ERT) 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • General knowledge of security concepts such as access controls, identity management, data classification and loss prevention 
  • Understanding of security technical controls 

  • Excellent experience with Regular Expressions 
  • Extensive knowledge of web technologies and concepts 
  • Strong understanding of endpoint security concepts 
  • Ability to balance security with end user productivity for technical controls 
  • Scripting ability in popular platforms 
  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal) 
  • Strong skills in decision-making, prioritization, and negotiation
