You are responsible for the design, development, integration, and delivery of our design system, including component library maintenance and support. You are a self-motivated professional, with experience designing and architecting technical solutions and ability to quickly learn new technologies. You will propose, develop, and support web applications as a DevSecOps team member and provide hands-on solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations. Hands-on experience building and maintaining accessible design systems preferred.

What you will do:  

  • Architect, design and deliver high-quality code independently by following INDG best practices. 

  • Understand and make well-reasoned design decisions and tradeoffs in your work. 

  • Diagnose and fix production issues. 

  • Collaborate closely with UX Design and Product.

  • Communicate with the development lead to raise issues and anticipate potential barriers.

  • Build libraries at-scale using expertise in computer science fundamentals, informed by industry standards, and rooted in our users’ needs.

  • Develop scalable, high availability, high performance components with a deep understanding of front end architectures.

  • Write technical documentation.

  • Seek empirical evidence through proof of concepts, tests, and external research.

  • Participate in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.

 

You need to have:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.   

  • 3 years of software development experience and/or commensurate skills building commercial applications with modern software engineering principles and practices.  

  • Demonstrated record of successfullycontributing in distributed software delivery teams using Agile/Scrum and DevSecOps practices.  

  • Proficiency with cloud technologies i.e. AWS, Serverless, Event Driven Architecture, SOA, MicroServices, Microfrontend, CI/CD, Infrastructure as code, and other modern technologies. 

  • Proficiency  with professional software engineering practices and the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, architecture/design patterns, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
